Too bad I don't live in Cali anymore.  This crap is getting ridiculous.

I'm back shooting the game pyro for Angels Baseball in Anaheim, Ca this season.  We opened last Thursday to a limited capacity (last night's attendance was 12,762 in a stadium that seats 46,000). 

Both fans as well as stadium employees are required to get their temperature checked and are asked the standard questions (have you travelled outside the US, are you feeling any symptoms,etc...), but no over the top woke nonsense or panic porn.  Masks are required when you are inside the stadium except for when you are eating or drinking. 

They have seats zip tied into the up position to control where people sit. Limited concession stands open which causes long lines at the stands that are open.

Biggest impact for me is the press dining room is closed so I have to either bring a lunch or go offsite after we have set up and tested our equipment to grab dinner before the game starts.

With the team being based in Orange County which is relatively conservative we aren't getting bogged down in the liberal nonsense you would expect in san franscisco.

I get temp scanned in every plant I drive into. I can leave and come back in 3 minutes and have to get scanned again. I’ve had my temp checked up to 6 times per day.

I don’t mind that, it’s fault unobtrusive. I told my boss the other day when the plants start asking for papers he can find someone else to go in the plants or replace me. I don’t have to work, I work because I like it.

Last evening was the first time our church had indoor services (Good Friday) since March last year. I think it was capacity limited, though we were at the later, less attended service. The outer sides didn't have a lot of people. I would guess 150-200 attended indoors. There was also a large semi-open tent outside available for those not wanting to go indoors (or unable due to capacity-limiting). They probably received video of the indoor service. The previous 4 Sundays the outdoor tent had been used, with people making reservations and as many services as were necessary to accommodate those wanting to attend.

Rows were farther apart than normal by a couple of feet. People "had to" wear masks (though ushers didn't patrol the aisles to check up on people). Lifting one's mask to drink water (or whatever) was OK, and we observed communion (a commercially packaged wafer and cup of grape juice given to each attendee). People were seated in family groups, with an empty chair between groups, on an "honor system". All in all nothing particularly obtrusive, though the prepackaged communion elements were kind of unique.

My job as a courier has me going to many Kaiser medical facilities and a couple other hospitals here in San Jose. They all ask the same questions about symptoms and such when entering their facilities. It's gotten to the point where I just say "no symptoms" when I enter the building and move on with what I need to do.

 Wouldn't it be far easier to simply have all citizens that  have had the vaccine, have a tatoo either on their foreheads, or on their right hands?   

As is written in Rev 13:16-17 ?  YIKES! What a horrendous thought!

My two bits, the vaccine passport isn't the Mark itself, but I feel it is a dry run barreling us towards that.  Seeing how accepted it is, working out technical issues, ect.  We are drawing close to the end times, no doubt.

My older son *thinks* he's a "progressive," but just because he hasn't been taxed enough. (Give him a couple of years--and just wait til his little girl is in middle school and has to undress and shower in the presence of biological males. I think he'll do an about face.) In the meantime, he thinks Witch-mer is doing a fantastic job here in Michigan. He was in full-blown lockdown mode since last March. We haven't seen our grandchildren in over 15 months, in spite of the fact that they only live 3.5 hours away. Now, both dh and I have been vaccinated twice, our d-i-l got the J & J jab, and son will get it on Wednesday. Much as I hate to admit it, if it's going to take a "vaccine passport" to see them again, and to get back to a normal life, I'll do it.

I got put in a family group chat about them getting the vaccine. I said I didn't want to be included in the conversation and said as much. My sis tried to start a new conversation but I was somehow still included. First thing she said was "now that the antivaccers aren't listening..." don't really care if I see them anymore or not
