So long as you don't mind ignoring facts about where we are relative to 8 years ago, delivering baldfaced lies about cutting taxes and are willing to suspend belief that he'll actually find something or other to cut to get that trillion and a half to pay for all the new stuff, yeah, it was a rousing speech.

That being said, he'll get a bump but it will be short lived.

Honestly I felt like I'd heard that same speech at every Dem Convention for the last 40 years.

Didn't watch...Cubs were playing...much more enjoyable.

But, so what if he gave a great speech?  We know he's a good speech giver...someone else writes it and tells him what to say.   I'm not surprised he did well.
