It may not be her place to do so, but it's also not the boss's place to send her such emails at work as part of her job, either, and the boss shouldn't have done that. Politics needs to be kept out of the workplace on both sides, period. Work is for work and it doesn't do a workplace any good to get bogged down in often-heated political discussions. Your political opinions aren't your boss's business and vice versa. And I don't wanna have to read the political opinions of a boss's family when I'm supposed to be working.

Her family is a bunch of right wing nuts who keep sending her these bogus Obama emails. The latest is the one where they claim he wants to change our anthem to "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" which snopes debunked here:

LOL, yeah, I guess I am, frank. I'm finishing up week four of recovery and going absolutely batshit nuts with cabin fever. I'm at the point in recovery where I'm feeling a lot better but still can't leave the house or do much of anything, unless I wanna end up in the hospital for more surgery (no thank you!). I really need to read things more carefully before responding, I had thought that the boss was directly sending the OP her political emails instead of her checking them for her boss when the boss is away.

My dad had his gallbladder remove a couple of months ago.  It took a long time for him to start feeling better afterwards.
