Haven't been strip searched....but going through O'Hare a few days after they found the guy with the whatever it was...in November, after 9/11.....I was patted down everywhere !!!

I had just spent 5 days in Chicago ( we went up for the TN - Notre Dame game)...eating terrific food and drinking a bit too much. My jeans were tighter, I had on a ribbed turtleneck sweater and a jacket. I got pulled over to be searched. Not my carryon or my purse...my body.

If I had had a quarter in my back pocket you would have been able to tell if it was heads or tails. I was not going to argue though because there were 3 soldiers standing there with machine guns.

Watching.....

I had to take my jacket off and my boots(this was before they started the mandatory shoe removal)....she starts to wand me....as she did the wand thing, she also patted all around each boob, under my arms, all down my back, up and down each leg....inside and outside. Wayyyyy too personal.

I was not only mortified....she made me extremely uncomfortable. I was right out in front of everybody....not behind a panel or anything.

I'm 5'4" on a really tall day, have red hair, blue/green eyes, a month before my 49th b-day.....the friends we were travelling with....said they must have thought I was with the IRA. ::)

I've been frequently pulled aside to be checked (wanded)......but never like that again.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Oh deb... obviously they have a thing for reds.  :evillaugh:

I would have demanded the soldiers do the frisking, all 3 of them. If for nothing else than to get a cheap thrill for my troubles.  :naughty:

If you change carriers (for example from a rebooking), you will get the Scarlet "S" -- they don't strip search you (no matter how much you beg them to do so), but you get the thorough checkover.

(remind me to add this to "Ask Mr. Flight").

The soldiers were adorable!

The woman checking me.....wore sturdy shoes. ::)

It's gotten to the point where when I don't get checked....I ask ....are you sure?

I flew alot after 9/11 so yes, I was strip searched a couple times. They boarded you with the first class passengers after they ruffled your dignity so I was OK with it  :-)

So as you can see I am extensively experienced and less than 30 minutes east of OIA if you come to Florida for a....ahem....layover.  :evillaugh:

Yes, I was once detained and strip searched, but I was released because of lack of evidence. :rimshot:

When I deployed for Katrina they made my flight reservations at 1am the morning of... September 11th, 2005 for a one way trip to Alexandria Louisiana.

When I picked up my boarding pass it has not one but two big red "S's" on it. :-)

They did everything but colonoscopy on me before I cleared security.

Hmmm...

My wife works for the TSA.

Might be time for a little role playing.

I would be happy to give you a demonstration sometime as the only other person here that has worked security at the Airport.

I worked as a post 9/11 skycap/wheelchair attendant in Phoenix (in between jobs; damn Bush economy).  Don't need no demonstrations, thank-you.

As a reminfer to all here. There are some people that for obvious reasons (Moonbats) should never ,ever be stripped searched. However the security of the USA comes first and those poor souls at the airports deserve our thanks for putting up with stinky, cheeto dust covered idiots that cause us to be late for our flights because they have the gall to do something stupid and start saying that 9/11 is an inside job and that they have a cunning plan to impeach Bush,Rove and Cheney.

I have no problem whatsoever being searched.

I have nothing to hide, and for the most part, it usually doesn't take long.

My only problem with being searched....is that in TSA's effort to remain non-profiling...which I've been told by TSA members is the reason I am often searched.....that they often let people through that I personally would prefer they search.

I have a real problem...when the guy in front of me is kissed by another guy on each cheek and told to go with Allah....and then he breezes right through security with pants on that are full of pockets on the legs and a carryon that goes right through the tube....and I'm pulled over, wanded and my lower leg is checked for 20 minutes because the little red light came on any time the wand went near it. Had to remove my sock, pull up my pants leg, and have my leg felt for anything under the skin. There aren't even any scars on the leg....and believe me she looked at it several times to make sure. I had to beg her to give it up and let me go get my flight. All because the light kept glowing red on my leg....but didn't on my watch or her belt bucke.

Profiling or not....I want more of those middle easterners checked!! :maddernhell:
