Illegal Immigrant Holds Press Conference on Fears of Being Deported, Gets Detained by ICEFor the last 8 years, Obama’s lawlessness has resulted in countless illegal aliens crossing the border and staying in the country. But that is about to change.
Daniela Vargas, an illegal immigrant who had gone into hiding,
held a press conference in Mississippi, apparently to tell the media how scared she was of being deported.
Then, she discovered that the days of lawlessness are over –
after her press conference, she was promptly detained by ICE on her way back home.
Vargas is a so-called “DREAMer,” an illegal immigrant who was brought to the country as a child by their parents or some other border-crossing adults.
Her father and brother had already been arrested a month earlier, but Vargas escaped authorities by hiding in a closet. When they later found her, she was handcuffed temporarily and released.
Under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, immigration policy, Vargas must renew her application every two years. Hers had expired but was in the process of being renewed. It’s unclear as to why there is a lapse in her expired visa and renewal application.
