I have an idea for an invention
   
Currently people use computers to compose documents and print them out when they're done.

My idea... A machine where every letter you type gets instantly printed onto the paper. And once you're done, just pull the paper out and use it. No more waiting for printers to print. No more toner.

What do you all think?

Amazingly enough, things still get printed from computers with plenty of mistakes.  :-)

How about forking up the bucks to buy a really fast printer. We have a couple of of printers at work that will print War and Peace in under a minute.

And I'll invent something called "white out" so you can correct your errors while the document is still loaded in the "typewriter" so you can pull it out when complete.

Why would you want to print something like "War and Peace" in under a minute when it takes 47 years to read?

Pertec?   That predated the Wang.

As for software I remember Wordstar and PC Write. Then along came WordPerfect. That one was the biggie until Gates came up with Word.

My was a WP operator. She used the NBI Model 2 and Model 3000. Both used 8" floppies.

I think all the DUmmies should sink every dime they have or can get into your start-up and then be plunged into suicidal depression when the inevitable occurs.  I also think you must be the best typist on Earth, or think you are, and you apparently have a pretty high idea of everyone else's typing accuracy and ability to compose on the fly.  And finally, I think you don't realize that every method of printing except old faxes using thermal paper (Uncorrectable, incidentally, but then that obviously isn't a concern in your scheme) uses some kind of consumable to put the dark places on the white paper.
