A man who claims he supplied recently deceased Prince with opiate painkillers has spoken about the extent of the pop star’s addiction.

Named only as Doctor D, the man said he sold drugs to him between 1984 and 2008.

He claims Prince would spend up to $40,000 (£27,700) on six month supplies of highly addictive Dilaudid pills and Fentanyl patches.

Doctor D told the Mail Online: “I first met Prince in 1984 while he was filming the movie Purple Rain and he was already majorly addicted to opiates - I didn’t hook him on drugs.

Perhaps this is why Prince insisted on a private room at the hospital.

Why does it matter to any of you whether or not Prince was a drug addict? Does it make his music any less enjoyable if he was an addict?

I don't get it, either. I thought DU was all about adults doing whatever adults want to do. Why is it so bad if Prince was a major drug addict?

Well, DU is more about adults (and children) doing what they think is best.  At any rate, just because they make dopey internet posts saying "Bullshit" doesn't change anything.  The way they found him suggests a drug overdose, and it does run rampant in the music business.  The one DUmmie had it right I think when he asked if it really mattered.  I use to love Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains and Nirvana even though there was a lot of drugs involved.

     The fact is that the DUmmies can't just LIKE someone or enjoy their output. DUmmies are so infantile that they have to idolize people they like: Prince was by DUmmy accounts a prolific artist, a "true progressive," as pure as the driven snow, and could probably fly. It is embarrassing how they put their heroes on a pedestal and reject the slightest critique. The only time they ever let any sunlight in is when someone even purer turns up. That's why so many DUmmies want Hillary indicted for her email crimes (of course, they'll be back to howling that it's all a bunch of lies when Sanders drops out, but still).

What is that hospital scene up there?  Don't they have curtains?  Imagine the glare right in the eyeballs!

I'm just guessing, but to me it looks as if a bunch of tubercular patients being laid out to get some sun, like in Colorado or Arizona or something circa the 1940s.

Drugs didn't kill Rush Limbaugh, and DU-folk were POed.

Go figure.

I guess it's a case of, "Yours, mine, and never ours." Lib/Prog druggies are OK and their sellers are scum. Conservative druggies are scum, and their sellers are OK (or heroes, in the case of death). There is no, "ours," because they hate everything to do with us, and our little dogs, too.

That's what I thought as well.  There used to be a tuberculosis hospital somewhere in the Adirondacks, IIRC.  I want to say somewhere in the Saranac Lake area.

They think the guy is lying but I have to ask, why would he lie about something that will probably get him investigated by every law enforcement agency that thinks it has jurisdiction and will probably end up in prison. Sound like a lot of incentive to me.

I really could not care what Prince died of. The man is dead. Over. Done. Crying shame. I think he was talented and his death affects me not one bit. BFD. Condolences to his family.
