Last week I stopped in to Subway for Sandwiches
 
and enjoyed the chit chat with a local teen.

Two nights ago he was beaten to death because he was gay.

He was a kid, working in the Keys for "better" wages... Killed up on the mainland in his apartment.

There will be little news coverage. The Keys aren't part of that zoo. He worked at the Dairy Queen and Subway... And was just a kid who came here because his lifestyle was better accepted here.

My grandson remembers him because he gave free cookies to the baseball team champions.

He was beaten so badly, they couldn't recognize him.

Okay, so for the longest time the primitives speculate the whodunit of the case, blaming their usual bete noires--conservatives, Republicans, Christians, decent and civilized people, what not.

I haven't read anything on his murder but this thread.

IS there any charge? evidence? were notes left in his apartment?

It seem,s like we've already decided why he was killed and who killed him without any evidence whatsoever.

Am I missing something or have we just jumped the shark, or the whole school of sharks here?

Apparently according to facebook (local) entries, he was murdered on Sunday night, shortly before midnight. This is according to an adult friend of his mother - I posted his post earlier, above - and the comments under his post are from co workers who say that they heard of it yesterday and today. Some teachers in the town have also posted. BUT... I can't find a news source or an obit.

This wouldn't be so strange since he worked in the Keys but to all reports was killed in his apartment in Florida City, a different county, and we have no local stations or daily papers in the Keys. But I have searched and searched and find nothing online in either county.

I can't imagine that so many people replied on facebook that they knew of his passing if indeed it wasn't true, but it is now past midnight and I won't dig any further until tomorrow.

But I will find out the facts tomorrow, be assured!!

     Out of curiosity, however, I did a reverse search of "Lying scumbag liberal shithead," and of the top 100 returned, "Some DUmmy named Tavernier" was one.

OK, I found the listing for the guy, on page 3, not page 2 (the list was probably updated, pushing older entries downward). The listing does not give the guy's age, sexual preference, or how he died. So why did tav pick him out? the date of death? Did I miss something?

    2. She had to troll the medical examiner's website for his name, and meanwhile
    3. She happens to KNOW that he was beaten beyond recognition, yet
    4. There is no evidence that this person was killed AT ALL, let alone that he was mutilated beyond recognition.

    I'm not a homicide detective, but it occurs to me that there are exactly two possibilities, given that NO OTHER PERSON IN THE WORLD can corroborate Tavernier's story:

    (a) This story is complete and utter bullshit, OR
    (b) The only way Tavernier can possibly have this information is if SHE DID IT HERSELF.

Ps one look at florida city's record of violent crime makes it truly doubtful him being gay had a damn thing to do with it when you consider just being a florida city resident makes one more likely to be a victim of crime. I found the chatter on his facebook. A lot of speculation from his friends but  the dummie is insinuating since one person who went to school with him said he was bullied that he then was killed presumably years later over that. He's a pudgy gay dude who lIves in a very dangerous part of miami where residence alone makes one susceptible to violent crime, nevermind that if this was a beating death in homosexual situations it's most likely a lover to do the deed. In that part of town I wouldn't discount a drug deal gone bad or owed money in a similar scenario either.
