Oh my.

And even the always-cheerful, always-upbeat CaliforniaPeggy.

I no longer look forward to going on DU.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by TexasTowelie (a host of the General Discussion forum).

I thought I'd found a cool spot where folks gathered with like-minded caring liberal attitudes. It helped me keep on top of what was really going on in the 2012 election.

But since this primary has gone into high gear, I just see a lot of childish, senseless, personally harmful and bullying posts—from both sides.

I.E.: fellow DU'rs being banned and others celebrating it. Lord, I wouldn't be surprised if someone celebrated the death of a member they disagreed with.

I now try to only stop by to read the latest headlines, but I occasionally get sucked into some of the primary BS—just in the past 2 weeks my list of banned people has gone from one to a dozen.

Sad.

Maybe this post will get me into trouble for talking bad about DU, but it's the god damned truth.

Uh huh; the Bernie bullies have made Skins's island an unfriendly place for hanging out.

1. I hear you. I'm here less as well...

It's very discouraging to see all the unpleasantness.

There's a couple of non-political groups I check in with.........and then I'm gone.

I will be thrilled when this damned primary season is over.

Hmmm.  If CaliforniaPeggy feels this way, it's probably a pretty good indication of how other long-time primitives feel too, and why they don't post as much as they used to--the sparkling old dude, Big Mo, thunderthighs, the cbayer primitive, and too many others to enumerate.

The place just isn't as nice to them as it used to be.

DU folk made DU what it is. In a very real sense, it is THEM! Even most idiots could have foreseen that DU-folks' nastiness towards those they disagreed with - toward Rs and conservatives - would inevitably be turned inward, into Progressivier-Than-Thou internecine catfights. I guess most DU-folk are less than mere ......... Anyway,

Typical dummies.  Ain't got a common enemy to hate, for example Bush when he was pres, so now they are eating their own.

Skinner better start paying attention and get to herding his cats back in one direction or his little money maker is gonna go down the drain.
Living in the Dummies minds rent free since 2009!

The DUmp has always been a gurgling mud pot. It blorps merrily away, raising it's foul stench for all to ģag.
The blorpers try to quit, only to suddenly start a new series of foul blorpatude. They can't help themselves,
they're DUmmies!
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
