I have, very, very reluctantly, concluded that in order to stop the creature that is Hitlery, it will take every opposition vote we can muster against her.  She will have arrayed a consortium of illegal criminals with their felonious documents, the racial hucksters and deluded groupies, her vast network of bought and paid for union and business interests and their ignorant followers and above all, the myriad gaggle of faux outraged Ta'Shaye's, Benito's, and Muhamed's out there, plus all their moronic sympathizers like the inmates at Skimmer's Sanctuary for Sorta People with Major Brain Damage.
It absolutely GALLS me to admit this, but better Jeb :sad1: or Rubio, Mr. Gang of Eight Amnesty Advocates, than the likes of Hitlery or the oh so romantic Bernie.  Seriously, what better honeymoon could a gal ever dream of than one spent in the old Soviet Union?  Wonder if Bernie was as epic a FAIL on the big night as the Communist government proved over the decades?

The problem is....you'll have people like you and I that will hold our nose for the betterment of the country...(yes even Jeb is better than Hillary)...but there will be that group of people...you know them...the 1 issue crowd the "either I get my candidate of I'm not voting!" tantrum throwers that will stay home and not support the GOP ticket no matter what it means for the country.

They are the same people that handed Obama a second term inoffice and could quite possibly...give Hillary her time in office.

The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

I hope they have learned their lesson but I doubt it. Any of the Repubs running for the President is better by miles than Hillary. She wants amnesty. If that happens, the Democratic party will win every presidential election. It will not even be close. They will do for the immigrants what they  have already done to blacks. Free food, housing, education, health care, etc. will eventually bankrupt this country. Like most voters, they will vote  with their pocketbooks.

Just by having the illegals in any given state automatically skews the Electoral College votes.  So the illegals don't even have to vote to tilt the election towards the Dems.

If we don't get a Republican into office this time...we may not do it again in my lifetime.

IMO, we need a bare knuckles fighter who will sling as much mud as Clinton and the Demos do.

Agree.
Some of Hotair's writers have posted supportive articles for GOPe candidates.  &, in my opinion, are obviously against Trump & Cruz.  This is one of several posts about Trump's decline in Iowa.  My thoughts on this are that if his slide spreads to other states, then that would be significant.  In the past they chose Huckabee & Santorum.

Carson's small government principles may come into question:

- "Ben Carson supports citizenship for illegal aliens"

- "The first thing we need to do is get rid of for profit insurance companies".

Unless my mind is closed, I don't see much difference between the liberal R neocon candidates vs. Hillary.  Both are for big government, big spending programs, amnesty, continuing wars to maintain the military-industrial complex, legislate according to the donor class, & regardless of what they say, I believe both support socialized medicine.   Let's not forget the R's in the House fully funded Obamacare & O's executive amnesty.

Trump should not concern himself if he comes in second in Iowa or NH. Trump will thrash Carson in the South. However, the media, RINO's, liberals and Trump haters will make a big deal out of it.

That almost sounds like something the DUmmies would say based on their idea that the south is racist.

Nope. IMO, Obama has set back blacks 50 years. I feel that this has placed Carson at an unjustified disadvantage in the South and throughout the country.

If Carson is the nominee, I will gladly support and vote for him. However, my first two choices are Trump and Cruz.

He's got a self fulfilling prophecy going on where race is concerned.  People who might not normally have any issue with a person's skin color...are seriously looking at it now because they've spent the last 7 years being called racists and bigots because of the state they live in and the fact they either own a gun or have no problem with the Confederate Flag.

Hell according to our CINC...racism is in our DNA...that right there is enough to make a lot of people bring race into their voting decision when they otherwise wouldn't have.

I reverse those two...Cruz then Trump.

Additionally, Trump is leading in every poll in S.C., VA and beating Bush and Rubio combined in FL. Plus, the white guilt mentality with some voters is dead.

True. I've said before that Democrats electing Obama has ensured that no black will be elected president, again for decades.

I like Carson. I really do. BUT- he seems almost to weak and quiet to confront the troubles in the world we are going to have to face in the next 8 years. I hate to say it but I am thinking Trump might be the only one who would actually do something instead of all the rest of the possible [R]s who would just wring their hands and whine about it.

FOX morning news was really shilling the fact that Carson leads Trump for the first time in a national poll.  CBS, I think it was.

They did mention that there was a margin of error of + or - 6 points.
They did not mention, and it was at the bottom in small letters, that the sample of registered R voters was a whopping 575.
Color me unsurprised that they are pushing the Carson is winning meme.  Of course, should they happen to manage to discourage enough Trump voters to switching to Carson, they'd immediately begin to savage him as well.
I turned off the news.  I don't need to listen to a bunch of prejudiced opinionated assholes who masquerade as journalists keep tearing into my candidate.
Carson has some major disadvantages going for him, as much as Trump, or anyone else.  That quiet manner of his is TOO low energy, I thought it before Donald mentioned it.  He literally lulls me to sleep when I listen for more than a minute or two.  Guess he will do that to the average American as well.  Also, I had no clue he was a Seventh Day Adventist.  One of my sisters-in-law married into the church and there are some doctrinal differences with fundamental Protestant Christianity that may prove problematic once the Iowa evangelicals sink their teeth into that reality.
And if it's shown Carson was for amnesty recently, or Trump for that matter, they're gonna have as much of a hurt on them as Bush and Rubio currently do.
Mostly though, Carson has never run a business, served in government and while he would make a fantastic Surgeon General I can't see him being able to lift this country out of bankruptcy or regain our place in the world.  Not with the bullies in charge of enemy nations like Russia, and particularly Iran.  And China would continue to sneak around stealing our economic and defense secrets the way they have for decades.  No, we need a very strong and tough leader to stand up to them and kick them in the balls.
I don't see Rubio, Carson or Bush able to be a strong leader, although granted Rubio is a nice piece of eye candy for the ladies.

And while I said I would, and I will, vote for the R candidate, I really don't have any confidence in some of them, first that they could defeat HRC unless she's indicted   :whatever: because that bitch can fake it like no other candidate out there.  If she gets in trouble and Biden rides to the rescue, he's got enough gullible voters believing he really is a kindly elder statesman, when he's really a mean vindictive bastard.

Politics is a long game and most of the stadium hasn't even filed into the stands to watch the kickoff so everything can change.

Hi 5. Exactly...Carson is too subdued and soft spoken.  There is no way he will win a debate against Hillary.  I am hoping that after last night's lackluster debate for him, he will start to fade away and eventually step down.
I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes. I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

I spent all day yesterday watching the various networks dissect that disgrace of a "debate" debacle those CNBC pukeheads moderated
The main thing that struck me was how little coverage Carson received, positive or negative.  Jeb got alot of grief, but he at least got mentioned.  And if Carson closes his eyes one more time while he's speaking I will scream.  I can't imagine trying to listen to him for four years.  I'm sure he was plenty competent and animated while he was performing surgery, but there's a reason older people retire from high pressure jobs and he's Exhibit A, imo.
