Boston, MA -- Today a federal court judge overturned Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady's 2-game suspension for shooting another player.
The suspension was originally handed down by the NFL after considerable debate over Brady's direct role in the shooting.
The incident occurred in the opening drive when rookie Defensive Tackle Deandre Johnson broke through the Patriot's offensive line and bore down on Brady. The pressured QB then produced a 38-caliber snub-nosed revolver from his waistband and shot Johnson in both knees crippling the 2nd round draft pick for life.
Field officials imposed a 15-yard penalty at the time for unsportsmanlike-like conduct after Brady engaged in what is known to the online gaming community as "tea bagging" but no other penalty was assessed at the time.
After considerable outcry from non-Patriot fans NFL commissioner Roger Goodell opened an investigation into the incident.
Brady has maintained that a ball handler slipped the revolver into his waistband.
Apparently, a federal judge agreed with Brady by overturning the 2-game suspension. The entirety of the judge's opinion reads, "Haters gotta hate."
