What's the difference between a Democratic Socialist and a National Socialist? Do they have a meme for that?
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
To be honest, it's not exactly slavery, so much as it is a glass ceiling for EVERYBODY (Except, of course, a political class).
So, in other words.....Here'ssssss your sign.
same dog poop, different bag. Just cause you rename it, that doesn't make it better. so far we've had:DemocratsProgressivesSocialistsCommunistsProbably forgetting some more...
Not all that much, except the Democratic Socialist wants to have a different Santa Claus in charge every few years, picked by the populace (As long as they make the 'Right' choice, and disregarding the example of Barrabus), rather than letting one guy pick himself for life. They also tend to be less nationalistic, but that one's only a tendency, not a trait, and it's somewhat selectively applied.
I disagree. Any central planning economy begins from the premise that the citizen, his life, and his property are subordinate to the State- and that is a form of slavery, whether the massa is elected, appointed, or seizes control.
