If you could pick people to be in the Democratic Presidential primary, who would you pick?

Sheldon Whitehouse
Bernie Sanders
Elizabeth Warren
Joe Biden
Martin O'Malley
Hillary Clinton
Jim Webb
Russ Feingold

There are those who say we have no depth in the party bench for Presidency, I think they are wrong. I know I am missing good people. Who else would you add to the list?

Russ Feingold?  :rotf:

Now wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.

This is only 2015, and the Magic Zero still has 22 more months in office, almost two years.

Are the primitives forgetting about him already?

Not only have they begun overlooking their messiah, they are forgetting their old buddy Ralph Nader.

since they're stuck with the corpses of what's left of their party, I would like to see them dust off Gary Hart and give him another try. In fact, Obama could meet with him on the monkey business boat just to make it official.

Not only have they begun overlooking their messiah, they are forgetting their old buddy Ralph Nader.

Nah.....they hate Nader almost as much as we hate Perot.  Because of Nader, we don't have flying solar cars, Star Trek transporters or a 95% tax on everyone making over $100k/year.

Luckily, because of Nader, we still have toilet paper.

If it is between Jim Webb and Jeb Bush, I vote Webb.

I have a quicker litmus test for gop politicians. If the democrat cockus (sic) will protect that person against the gop base, then well bye.

Folks, stick a fork in the USA. I see it has happened but it really happened in 2007-8. Everything else since then has been kabuki theater. That was the knock out punch and we hit the mat in 11/2012. Dead cat bounce 2014.  Then come to find out that the new boss is the old boss in 2015.

I'm just glad I got to experience what America was in the past.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I hesitate to say, no matter how insane, clueless, and corrupt the candidate, there is always a chance that the welfare class will show up in droves and elect him or her on the expectation of more handouts, while most of the various Conservative factions will stay home because the GOP candidate isn't perfect by their own compass and they don't think anyone is stupid enough to actually vote for the obviously-crazy Dem.

Don't laugh just because she is the stupidest person in the entire western hemisphere.

She has exactly the same qualifications, and would inspire exactly the same enormous 0bamaite turnout as the guy who won two terms.

She would be a more dangerous candidate than any white nominee the democrat party could possibly scrape up, stronger than the Hildebeast, simply due to the racist nature of the democrat electorate.

Patty Murray from Washington.

At least my good buddy NorthWest Pilot thinks she is the most stupid elected official out there.

Jim Webb is too conservative for them, O'Malley is the one to watch but he's loaded with baggage too.

20. we don't have any depth on the party bench

That's a mighty weak list. Sanders and Biden are in their mid-seventies. Webb is 69. Warren is 66. Clinton is 67. Feingold was voted out of office- alas. Not to mention that the only ones who will run are Clinton and maybe Sanders (unelectable), O'Malley and Webb. Webb is pretty nutty.

The democratic party really does have a weak bench this time around. No governors as prospects and it's an awfully old crew.

Hey! I'd vote for Katniss Everdeen, she's pretty bad a$$ and would make a great President.

Now that got me thinking, maybe a hunger games type event would be a good way to choose the next democrat for President. As a happy consequence it would eliminate some the obstructionist dead  wood in congress.
