GOP Worries About Backlash If Court Guts Obamacare
March 1, 2015
By Taegan Goddard

“Republican fears are mounting over a Supreme Court case that the party has long hailed as its best chance to undo Obamacare,” The Hill reports.

“The Supreme Court will hear arguments Wednesday on a GOP-backed case that threatens to erase healthcare subsidies for 8 million people. The vast stakes are raising alarm among Republicans, particularly in the Senate, who increasingly fear a backlash at the polls if their party can’t find a fix.”

WTF? Why should they be worried if ObamaCare fails because Nancy Pelosi passed it without reading it?

1. Heh. 'When' their party can't find a fix, not 'if'.

They gots nothin. They tried out their 'coupon' approach in Florida, and spent something like 20k per person who signed up simply to set up the coupon site. People want HEALTH CARE, not coupons. Heck, not even insurance. Just actual care. They want to walk in a doctor's office, sign in, get treated and leave. Not spend hours pouring over rules and caveats to try and find the 'best insurance for their situation', or to try and find the few doctors who accept any given specific coupon or insurance group.

Typical liberals wanting conservatives to fix what they ****ed up and blaming republicans for the mess they created.

21. Like this. Some are made to create, some are made to destroy.

Obama is doing a great job of destroying this country.

As well they should.

Be careful what you wish for/plan for - you might get it.

The blame for Obamacare failing, if it  does in the USSC lies solely with the democraticks for passing a flawed bill.

There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

It won't be a problem for the GOP if they do one thing. Just hammer home the fact that Obamacare was passed only with Dem votes, and they did so without allowing anyone to read the full bill.

There were literally thousands of warnings about the negative affects of this POS law, but no one on the left wanted to hear them.

And honestly, the Supreme Court should knock this down.  The SC is not supposed to be in the business of reading into legislative intent.  They are simply supposed to read the law.  The Demoncrats messed up with their language about subsidies, so the SC should rule accordingly.

This is going to be a 5/4 split decision is my guess. Which way it goes is up in the air, though. If they follow the letter of the law as written, the subsidies should go away for a lot of people.

The good:  All of media panty twisting makes me think that SCOTUS just may do the right thing and keep the rule of law.

The bad: I'm afraid of what will replace the payment system. Whatever this is, the fascist democrats will take it from terrible to horrendous.

We now know that McConnell and Boehner are out of their depth and refuse to win (if they even want to). Sadly, Reid still controls the senate and Pelosi the HOR and nobody even tries to reel in the dictator in the WH.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Yep.  A made-up article to pre-blame failure on those who had nothing to do with it.
