Charlie Hebdo suspect said Abu Ghraib torture pics drove him to enlist in Jihad against USA in 2008
Cherif Kouachi was previously known to the authorities, as he was convicted by a French court in 2008 of trying to travel to Iraq to fight in that country’s insurgent movement. Kouachi told the court that he wished to fight the American occupation after viewing images of detainee abuse at Abu Ghraib prison. According to Bloomberg, Kouachi had “alternated between periods of smoking marijuana” and attending the classes of a preacher and jihadi recruiter who was convicted in the same case of running a terrorist recruitment ring. Kouachi, who was 26 at the time of his conviction, told the court that he was relieved that he had been prevented from traveling to Iraq, that he had begun working at a supermarket, and that his main interest was rap music.

2. And we believe mass murderers now? Look...some people just like to kill, and like to find

excuses for their loser asses.

6. It's what he said in court.

You are a lawyer. You know they keep records about what people said in court.

41. Try thinking outside the box. Without the invasion of Iraq, we would not

have as many crazy bombers and murders running around shouting about the million dead in Iraq. Surely you can come to that simple conclusion.

Why the hostility? The BFEE is at fault for a lot of this stuff and you know that. A lot of people believed mass murders after 9/11 and look how that turned out for us in Iraq.

Yeah, that book they worship telling them to kill infidels has nothing to do with them killing who they view as infidels.

65. He said this in 2008 @ the American occupation of Iraq

He said it was the motivation for him to be a jihadi.

Not the motivation for the massacre at the Charlie Hebdo office.

This comment precedes him being a "mass murderer".

And FWIW, I believe him.

I believe that many Muslims were motivated to fight against the US because of the tortured and abuse that occurred at Abu Ghraib.

I believe you are an idiot,I have proof...your words.

39. Right. It's called blow back.

The 'geniuses' in the Chaney/Bush admin thought that they could bomb, invade and kill hundreds of thousands without it coming back at us (the West).

And just think, there are probably many others that became radicalized by those Abu Ghraib photos and out other atrocities who may be yet to act.

Guess you also lay 9/11 on Bubba too huh?

So, had we not gone into Iraq this magazine would've been able to use this cover with absolutely no murderous tantrums? They're only super duper enraged because Iraq, or something.

Obama withdraws from Iraq and Afghanistan and that creates even more muslim killers because they see the US as weak. Obama supported the Muslim Brotherhood in almost every country hoping they would overthrow the governments that were even somewhat friendly with the US. ISIS is a direct result of Obama's actions and inaction.

France's problem with Muslim extremists goes back to the Dark Ages. Although there is no actual proof, it is believed by many that the croissant's shape was created as an insult to the Umayyad Caliphate after the Franks thwarted their expansion into what is now France. - it is said the crescent shape symbolized the crescent moon symbol used by Muslims., so now, some 1,200 years later and the Politically Correct French have allowed the very same people they expelled to set up Sharia controlled territories inside of France.

Of course they would come up with that stupidity. Crusades happened many years ago.

I watched the America documentary by Dsouza. It does a great job at dismantling the bs liberal talking points about our history.

The DUmbasses think that it's Bushes fault and forget that America has had problems with Islamic fanatics much earlier in history than that. America's problems with Islamic fanatics started way back in the early 1800's with President Thomas Jefferson's refusal to pay ramsom to the Babary pirates for American sailors taken hostage.
