Teaching our children "Me Last", not "Me First"
If anyone is serious about moving America towards socialism,we must first accept the fact that "rugged individualism" has got to go.We must foster at the earliest age the concept that each of us is an interdependent member of the collective, and we must put aside selfish interests and comforts and work for the benefit of ALL, not merely for ourselves and our families.

We must replace luxuries and non-essential material goods for a few with making sure everyone has the essentials. We must teach them to despise big houses and expensive cars and privately owned boats and planes, and instead insist on tiny houses or apartments and mass transit for all.

If you want to be an "individual", color your hair, get some piercings and tattoos. But don't engage in selfish economic ventures. People should be working for paychecks and rations, not investing for profits. When the mass of people are saying with passion, "I live and work for thee, not for me", perhaps we will finally be able to have a truly socialist society.

Yeah,that will go over big at a place where socialism really means "I get all the good stuff for free and you pay for it".

2. Socialism is about universal needs fulfillment. About self-sacrifice to serve the collective.

Not individual greed and material acquisition.

DON'T want to move toward socialism. Most people in this country LIKE ostentatious materialism. And any parent who teaches his/her child "me last" in this environment might as well embroider "Kick Here" on the back on the kids' pants.

Now wait a minute,for the last 3 days you puddle slugs have told us America just yearns to have far leftists to vote for.

Bet Frodo won`t get many takers.

"and rations?"  So the socialist dream is for all to be impoverished, unable to travel because mass transit forbids it. We will all be obedient drones for our elite masters.

Mostly sedan and courier services.

Lady calls up and wants a ride to the airport. Easy sell, nice commision, give her a rate, get her pickup information.

I've never been much of a jewelry fan, so I have some real problems understanding why a shiny little carbon rock is worth $160K. But if that is what someone is willing to pay, then that is what it is worth.

I'm a midwestern White/Native American guy with degenerative disc disease and probably diabetes who would be a combat liability, not an asset. So I don't think the FSA or Shia or Kurds are in any hurry for me to join up.

Retention of a profit motive and distributed responsibility, with a crackdown on fraud and monopolies. Incentivize worker owned enterprises, get more people to have a stake and a reward in success. Taxed at a Goldilocks rate that provides for infrastructure maintenance and improvement and compassion for the infirmed and the elderly, but not so high that it removes incentive and resources for growth and rainy day survival. And more economic education and small business incubators in impoverished areas.

Socialism seems like another monopoly. Supposedly run "For The People", but only a small number of individuals will stand up and assume authority as representatives of the masses. And it would be backed by the governmental powers of confiscation and incarceration.
