All we have now is the President's veto. Even the Supreme Court is controlled by the GOP.

Look out for some tough stuff from the GOP: Eliminating existing Civil Rights laws and Voting Rights laws, Child labor laws, eliminating any minimum wage, killing food stamps, killing Medicare, killing Social Security, eliminating science in schools and replacing it with Bible study.....once they kill the filibuster and voting rights laws it will be all downhill except for the veto.

2. It's all headed down hill, I still think most Americans are clueless as to what is going on.

Far too many Americans think the country will just chug along, it won't. Many don't want to hear it, but this election has initiated a seismic shift in the future of the US. People should take a good look at Kansas, for example, that is where the US is headed. I seriously wonder if the democrats can even pull off a presidential win in 2016 after this abysmal display. If I had the resources, I would be the **** out of here.

4. What scares me the most is the real possibility of the GOP repealing the Voting Rights Act of 1965

with the GOP controlled Supreme Court supporting them. The veto is all we have now to stop the crazies.

5. Some would say it's being panicky, but I think it's a real possibility. And if 2016 is a

republican win, there is little to stop them from taking this country right to the bottom and quickly. Some of my friends are starting to think the US is not worth it. Who wants to hang around while the Titanic sinks. The really worrying concern is, many Americans just love what is happening as their rights are trashed.

That wouldn't be gentlemanly or 'in the spirit of compromise'. Think Woodrow Wilson.

We. Are. Truly. ****ed.

We won.  So sit down, and shut up.

You should be so lucky, you booger-eating freak. Kansas is Dog's Country, and we don't take to your kind around here.

You're a special kind of stupid! Have the GOP EVER done anything like this when they 've been in power?

And WE voted for the Civil Rights Act and won despite the Racist Party (unfortunately they found a way for government to put them back on the plantation).

A law that requires ID for federal elections would insure everyone's vote counts. If ID's are required in Afghanistan & Mexico (their process is complicated), then surely we can find a way for our minorities, poor and elderly to get ID's. Besides, it would open up all kinds of government services for them. I mean, you can't apply for welfare, food stamps or government housing so access to these would now be available to them. And seniors without ID could now get Medicare! See, in order to prevent seniors from being mugged on SS delivery days, they require checks to be direct deposit, thus a senior would have to open a bank account. They have to show ID for that.

Why would we abolish child labor laws? We're the ones who want them to live IN the womb and not be given sex ed information in Kindegarten so as to not grow up too fast.

Yeah, because every single time Republicans have been in power, when they've held both houses, here comes the "Bibles instead of Science" legislation. I'd like students to actually be able to bring them to school to read in their free time but I don't want to abolish science.

Filibuster voting rights? How, pray tell would they do it? And why? Other than not having ID's WE won under the current system. Probably would've won bigger except for Democrat fraud. Oh, and how about this: while I'd prefer having to show ID, how about we just do the purple ink finger thing? That way no one will be disenfranchised (though how'd we be able to prove they were actually eligible to vote might be a challenge). Make the ink strong enough that it doesn't wash off for a few days, no matter what Democrats try to use so they can vote again. Oh, and when Democrats "find" ballots that were somehow misplaced? How about we hold them until we can verify they're on the voter rolls. Of course it will take more time to count them but, voter integrity is important.

If they’d control their own bodies just a little bit better maybe there wouldn’t be the ‘need’ to murder so many unborn babies.

Uh, getting laws repealed is difficult if not nearly impossible. Just keep deluding yourself.  :mental:
