Democratic 17th District U.S. Rep. Cheri Bustos says she will stay on her message during the rest of her re-election campaign.
Her Republican opponent, Bobby Schilling, is claiming Bustos should give up ten percent of her pay because that's what she promised during a Chicago editorial board interview in 2012.
Asked for a response by reporters during a campaign stop in Peoria Friday, Bustos replied, "It's a diverson from what I want to be talking about."
"I want to keep this compaign focused on what we've been able to accomplish in a year and nine months," Bustos said.
"I don't to have my attention or anybody in our offices' attention diverted into anything other than making sure we talk about the economy, jobs, working men and women," Bustos says. "That's what we'll continue to stay focused on."
"I want to stay focused on what my job is."

http://bobbyschilling.com/Yes he is a friend of mine and I would appreciate those on facebook liking his page and showing him nationwide support, he is up against large pro-choice donors from Washington DC and Chicago.
He ran and won once before.
He is not your typical politician, he is a small business owner, has ten children, I have known him for almost twenty years. I also know his brother. Damn, I am old.
He is not a lawyer. Not a career politician. He lives outside of Geneseo, IL which is the home of the Springfield Armory, Armalite, and Rock River Arms. Other gun manufacturing plants are near by.
We need him in Congress.
Thank you.
I can't vote for him but I do vote using paypal.
