Wingnut "loses it" in public
Edited on Tue Jul-08-08 06:14 PM by Cyrano

So I was picking up a prescription today and there were a lot of people on line. Some guy near me shook his head and said, "Jeez, if we have to wait much longer, Bush might just grow a brain."

Hearing his remark, an elderly, wingnut woman went berserk and screamed at him: "That's our president you're talking about. How dare you! How dare you speak about our president that way?"

The entire place went very silent and everyone looked at her like she was insane. (But then anyone who still backs Bush might very well be bordering on insanity.)

She looked around at everyone who was looking at her. "What's wrong with you people?" she said. "What ever happened to respect?" She then shut up and stared straight ahead with what I read as a look of pride at having set us all in our place.

The irony came about a minute later when another woman at the counter was told that her prescription was $312. She looked shocked and said, "Is that right? I can't afford that."

The pharmacist said that he'd double checked it and it was correct. She asked if she could pay it off, but the pharmacist sadly shook his head. She left without her prescription.

A few people turned to look at the wingnut, but she seemed to have missed the irony.

At least he started it off correctly with the "So I was" intro. Kinda falls flat after that, though.

1 bong, that's all I can do. :(

I gave it a zero. A fabrication from start to finish. At least it starts with "So..." and followed the regular Bouncy format.

Wait until they get their Universal Health Care.  They will get to the counter and the pharmacist will say "That'll be $5,000.00"  They will say "That's not possible ... you need to check again!"  The pharmacist will kindly explain to them that since they make more than $24,000/year they are RICH and must pay extra for those who cannot.  Then the heads they will be asplodin'.

ZERO BONGS!!1111!!!! .........but HI5 for bolding the the most basic of all bouncy telltales.

Someone on CU authored the bouncy rules that was a complete roadmap but I guess that why DUchebags hate when the first of the month falls on a Sunday.

A blast from my college years that explains the DUmbass experience:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF6txcY1tHs

Tried to make a bouncyball
started with "so there I was"
but my story had a big fall
something goes wrong again

Left the basement
but my mom says I owe last month's rent
something goes wrong again

Now you know why I'm an engineer.

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

So says the person who was doubtless picking up a refill on his anti-psychotic or ant depressant medication.

I wonder if he sees the irony in THAT.

Well, if Obama gets elected I'm sure the first thing he'll do is install a hot line in every pharmacy across the country. Someone says they can't pay...the pharmacist can just call Obama direct who can then set the price for every citizen in the country.

I think "Cyrano" lost it a long time ago. And I'm damn certain she ain't gonna find it again in a drugstore even if the lighting there is better.

I'm going to drive across the country next month.  From Seattle to Michigan, then down to St. Louis.  I'm gonna keep a note pad with me.  Everytime I hear something rudely derogative about President Bush spoken, I'll write it down.  Every time I hear a racial slur about Obama, I'll write it down.  Basically, every time I hear one of these bouncies occuring in a restuarant, or grocery store, or gas station, or wherever these things all happen at, I'll be sure to annotate it.

My current forecast for total incidents: 0

Why is it this never happens when the clientele is conservative?

Would have been better if she apologized to the group after realizing how much the prescription was going to be, ripped up her VRWC membership card, and immediately traded in her Hummer for a Prius.

She obviously forgot her membership card, and had to climb back in her Hummer 2 to go get it.  No way would her scrip have been above $5 with her card.   :thatsright:

I drove through deep red areas of Texas last week, twice with a not so red bumper sticker on my car.  Not one peep was mentioned.  I didn't even talk politics once with my family!
