Why Eric Cantor really resigned...
http://www.politico.com/story/2014/08/eric-cantor-resigned-109659.html
"In his decision to quit Congress altogether, Eric Cantor gave only one reason: so his successor could get a head start and “have a voice in what will be a very consequential lame-duck session.â€
But several GOP lawmakers and aides suggested to POLITICO that there was more to this move. The last thing he wanted, they said, was to endure the humbling shift from 11 years in the leadership to being a back bencher, even if only for four months. And, they said he was already focused on the next chapter of his life in the private sector.
Although members can explore new job opportunities while still in office, his departure from Congress means that Cantor won’t have to disclose any companies or firms with whom he may be negotiating for a job.
Cantor never moved to the small Capitol office space he was scheduled to take over as a consolation prize for losing his sprawling majority leader suite. Several Republicans said that as soon as Canter lost to economics professor Dave Brat in the Republican primary June 10, there were signs that he wasn’t going to finish out his term."

1. "If we don't get our way . . we don't play."
Great political manifesto for such a political hack as Cantor.

2. Yep....
Just shows how people like Cantor and Palin are in politics for their own ego gratification, nothing more.
But if Hillary takes $200,000 from debt-enslaved college students she's "earned" it.

4. Both of whom are power hungry egomaniacs!
It seems to me that Cantor was way more moderate when he first went to Congress.
But, as he saw the pendulum swing so far to the right, he was one of those pushing it even farther to the right, in order to climb up in the Republican ranks.
Pendulums in clocks tend to swing back, though.
So, sad to say, it was the clapper that got Cantor.
Apparently Sarah Palin is so-o-o-o dumb she a power hungry egomaniac -- working to shrink the government.
Would somebody care to explain how that works?
Meanwhile, Hillary is running to be president because...
...anyone? Anyone?

5. i''m sure s cushy job awaits mr cantor...perhaps a lobbyist or running a major corporation
although he's not qualified, he's connected, which in america is more important.
And you idiots have created the system of regulatory capture that he will be exploiting the entire way (which is also why he was fired -- BY CONSERVATIVES!!!)
And, again, why is Hillary running? What exactly entitles her to be president?
