I watched the news this morning ...

 for less than a half hour; then, turned off the TV and turned on my Miles Davis CD rotation: The Essential Miles Davis, Kind of Blue, Miles & Quincy-Live at Montreux, and ending with, A Tribute to Miles by Hancock, Shorter, Carter, Roney and Williams. (Yes, I still have a CD player!)
 
As I was doing my alternate morning routine, I appealed to the Universe that it be revealed to the world's "leaders", that:
 
A climate for Peace is not developed by creating widows, widower, and orphans, even with the violence being called/justified as self-defense or revenge.
 
ETA: Today will be a "news-less" today.
The alternate morning routine is considerably different from the regular morning routine for a primitive. Rather than getting up at noon, the primitive gets up at 1 as to rest better for the junk food on the couch that will consume the balance of the day.

Yeah, and next Saturday I'll be in a half marathon listening to Santana and Tito Puente and hoping I can do 15-minute miles or faster. One of us is being realistic.
