NEW YORK CITY!  That pretty much covers it all.   I'd be in jail for homicide or dead from suicide if I had to be there longer than a couple days!

I seriously don't know how people live there.

Anyway, made out trip up there, rode the train into the city, checked out some sites, walked aorund, blah blah blah, rode the train back to our hotel area, then the next day explored for a bit (read, found a mall with Neiman Marcus, my daughter was entralled), then dropped her off, helped her get all her crap up to the 3rd floor drom room, and headed for home.   About a 5 hour drive, interupted by a 2 hour visit to Cabela's.  Honestly, the Cabela's part was probably my favorite part!

Got home late last night, and still no AC in the house.  Mr Flame is working on that now.

Did I miss anything exciting here at the Cave?

*waves*

Sounds exhausting! Any A/C yet? That really stinks!

NYC is not my favorite place to say the least. I barely tolerate the D.C. area. I try to stay away from New York.

Yep, born in flyover country too. :-)
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I was in NYC at the beginning of the year.

What really suprised me was how many short people live there.  I'm not exactly

tall (5'10") but it seemed like I was towering over people there.
