To most normal people, the jug-eared Kenyan is an international embarrassment.

The DUmmies aren't normal! Only a DUmmy can appreciate the nuanced brilliance at work here.

The muslim unleashed some furious tweets, and stopped Russia in its tracks.

It sounded silly, a shrug of a policy. And maybe it even was. But it also turns out to be working surprisingly well.  Putin is hanging himself by his own rope.

This has been so effective, and has apparently taken Putin by such surprise, that after weeks of looking like he could roll into eastern Ukraine unchallenged, he's backing down all on his own.

A lot of that may have come from the targeted sanctions that Obama pushed for against individual Russian leaders and oligarchs.

It makes sense that they would applaud him for this.  Their lives mirror his, just on a smaller scale.  scheming on how to get more food stamps= most brilliant person in the world.  gaining the upper hand on a fictional occurence in a public place= adherence to a brilliant political philosophy, etc....

Putin got what he wanted and that is the only reason he stopped. He took Crimea and made Obama and the west look like paper tigers. Obama's policy to make a lot of noise and carry no stick had nothing to do with any decision made by Vald.

Russia has paused for a couple of months since taking over the Crimea.

After the "peace in our time" agreement with Chamberlain, Germany paused for six months before taking over the rest of Czechoslovakia.
