Of course the target seems to have been the middle/jr. high school demographic, and the DUmmies fit right in.

OMG! OMG! It's COSMOS!

Oh they are so excited about Religious/conservative/T-Bag heads exploding for some reason.

IDK, I watched it, certainly nothing new or earth shaking. It did have pretty good special effects and cute cartoons to hold an immature person like the diabeticone's attention. But I imagine he had to ask his wife what it all meant and if he enjoyed it. *somehow I think that she makes him sit down on the toilet to pee too, so he has that going for him*

Anyway, most of the posts seem to indicate that this new version is a real breakthrough in science and will change the world.

Judging by the 1st episode it won't be as good as the original.

I watched it last night and wasn't too impressed. Most of it was stuff I've already learned a smattering about.  It seemed geared to people who have never been interested in science.

All Gorebull Warming believers have to pay tribute to their great (g)oracle, ALGORE (piss be upon him), and worship upon his altar!

AW HELL, ALGORE!

Cox (Wonders of the Universe/Solar System) has a better delivery. So did Sagan.
They loved their work and told viewers what made them love it.
Tyson just seems "meh". He comes across as a lecturer trying to teach the ignorant un-washed.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

The gospel according to DUmbasses.

In the beginning, there was Obama...and the DUmmies thought he was GOD of all the universe.

In the beginning, Obama said, "Let there be free stuff.....and it was."

...and on the first day he said, "Let there be foodstamps....and it was."

...and on the second day he said, "Let there be free healthcare....and it wasn't."

...and on the third day, he still thought he was GOD but something had gone wrong with his magic wand and Reggie was unsatisfied.

...and on the forth day, the DUmmie universe collapsed into deep debt and there was no more free stuff.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin

I think I had a diesel sighting at my other forum. The libs over there are missing hating on you.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

I caught a small portion (less than a minute) of it last night. No wonder the DUmmies love it, it's about as DUmbed down as you can get.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
