I'm probably a hundred miles north of her on the coast, and yes we've had a nice rain, but nothing to write about where I am. Up in the mountains above Los Angeles, they got about 9" of rain in the last 48 hours. 

I believe there was a water spout spotted north of LAX, but I don't think it even came on shore. The storm is supposed to move out this afternoon.

The only place in CA I wouldn't want to be is in the foothills, especially right below a burnout area.  Other than that?  Meh.

You don't want to be on Hwy 1 that hugs the coast, especially in places like Malibu.  Those hills are always sliding down during/after a rain or sending boulders onto the hwy.
