Is that argument for gun control usually cite the firearm death numbers as if those numbers would be zero in the absence of guns. .When the actual effect is a complete unknown.

What the hell does this have ANYTHING to do with guns?  It was a mass stabbing halfway across the world.

I am going to do that.  One armed passenger would have stopped the problem.  Once the first assailant was shot, the others would probably stop their attack, because they could be the next one shot.

Pretty sure the result wouldn't have been all that much better in the US.  Unless things have changed in the past couple of years, TSA controls the passenger trains and forbids carrying weapons, CCW State or not, and will happily throw anyone they catch in jail just like the train station was an airport.

The Beeb had something this morning about the attackers being connected to a separatist group in the northwest of China.  The word 'Uigar' (sp?) was mentioned, as was the phrase 'Muslim seperatist.'
