The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat for Barry

An oldie but a goodie for the lurking DUmmies.
Obama makes a fool out of himself.

Obamas Fail in Personal Pitch to Bring 2016 Olympics to Chicago

But Obama's stumble may cost him more than the $1.2 million of taxpayer money to make the overnight dash from Washington to Copenhagen.
Didn't cost us much when compared to Barry's other screw ups but still worth pointing out.
Quote
Obama and first lady Michelle Obama risked their political capital and the prestige of the presidency on an enormous Olympic campaign that resulted in an early exit for Chicago and the top prize going to Rio de Janeiro.
Quote
"It demeans the office," said GOP consultant Brad Blakeman, a former Bush administration official. "For the president to be reduced to the effect of the Billy Mays pitchman for the United States to get the Olympics for his home city of Chicago is just not something that presidents do."

We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again.

The least damaging screwup of his continuing stupidity. If only it had ended there.

For those who didn't listen to people like Hannity, and Beck about the chosen one, it was a milestone of a harbinger.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Beck was very prescient about all this, not too hard given all the relevant information was available for voter research before this sad tumble to Bananaville, but then he went off the deep end.

Too bad.  I was a big fan.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

He recently said he wished he had it to do over again.  Even though he was over the top, he certainly woke a lot of people up.
I've always wondered what his accuracy rate is.  I bet it's pretty high, and for that we should be glad he was on, even if only for a little while.

If you like your Olympics, you can keep your Olympics.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

What about Hoovers? My Hoover still sucks pretty good.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
