DUmmies Discuss Law Enforcement

[GOBUCKS]

With nadin practically shut down by Skimmer's ban policy, there are very few usable DUmp threads these days.

Of course, you can read her illiterate word salads on her blog, and they're funny, but most of her appeal lies in cordial exchanges with her DUmp colleagues.

Anyway, lacking anything better, here's a thread wherein the DUmmies discuss their gratitude for being protected by their local law enforcement:

It's easier to hate the cops than become one

I've asked before, and gotten crickets, so I will try again.

Why aren't more progressives working to take over police and prosecutor's offices? By filling forces with more tolerant, understanding people who are not just looking to make their numbers, we can shrink the prison population to nothing but banksters and child support deadbeats.

16. In Norway, cops are more like social workers

I think it all gets down to better screening of applicants. Police departments need to be looking more for social worker types, who actually want to serve and protect.

Wait a minute! I thought the muslim was already doing that with the military.

So I, for one, would not have an easy time becoming a cop. Sure.

most police departments in the US have a culture that is likely to be unattractive to most progressives.

Here are the list of reasons I would not wish to be a cop

1. I am grossly overqualified
2. NYPD policies are often racist and I am not
3. NYPD has to follow orders, some of which i find abhorrent and couldn't/wouldn't do it. My career would be shortlived. (same for military)
4. I am naturally trusting, which i am assuming is a big problem if you are a cop

There's your crickets for you, singing loud and clear.

I'd agree the lezbo DUmmy is gross, but grossly overqualified, for anything...not so much.

in this country it's going to take a long time for the police culture to evolve from where it is currently heading. Last time I looked through the county jail bookings minorities accounted for about 80% of the bookings but the county is 55% white, they definitely focus all their attention towards those groups here.

That is a lie. In any jurisdiction with 45% minorities, they'll account for at least 90% of the bookings.

Oh DUmmy, I would so love to see you try that on the south side of Chicago. Their prison population is much too high.

I got a hunski that says if the kid becomes a cop he will turn into an evil conservative when he gets up close and personal with the hoodrats. He is going to find out that all of those Law & Order TV shows he saw were nothing but lies and that blacks and Latinos (mostly illegals) DO in fact cause most of the crime in America. As has been pointed out before, take the black murders and killings and our gun murder rate looks very much like the Scandinavian countries.

Like others here, I can't help but laugh when I read their responses and yet recall other times they've said "Let conservatives come after me with a gun. They'll find we aren't as passive as they think we are."

Is there any group on earth easier to fool than liberals?
