Boy, DUmmie fritospet's post sure killed that thread. 
So many questions and observations on teenagers.
I did note the young lady did say it was not good to deny anyone from WANTING to be a Gay or what ever.
So what do I know about teenage girls . Comes a time when the hormones rise and fall like the tide.
All these physical changes and the body's reaction can be surprising to the female her self and family.
Where did sweet Sue go to, 6 months ago she was wonderful child and over night it seems she has changed into a discontented sullen kid that crys at the drop of a hat.
Reminds us of grandma when she went through change of life, happy one minute then crying the next.
Why is grandma in such a bad mood and so hot all the time, runs about with a fan in her hand.
I am trying to do 20/20 back sight on this, What would I have done had one of my girls come to me at 13 and told me she did not like to be around boys ? She had decided she was a Dike at that age??
Only in some other dimension would I know that and I do not want to go there.
Now if this daughter of mine were to be bullied at school by teachers and school authority's for her at the time her self image, As any other [ at least some] I would be momma bear as are most mothers when their child is picked on for their size, weight, the shape of their eyes or the color of their skin.
I say leave these kids alone, no reason to rush a young child to the Head Shrink that will only reinforce their ideas. Say some of us females were Tom Boys, we had more fun doing boy things then playing with dolls.
We learned how to take a tractor engine apart, learned to do electricity and plumbing skills. We were taught to hunt and shoot, how to lay carpet and tile floors. Best Christmas gift for a Tom Boy is a tool box full of items they will need.
These Tom Boys I hung out with also had that tug of the feminine side so we wore dresses, makeup ROLLED OUR HAIR. Dating was a problem unless one could find a boy was not threatened by our skills or were wimps that had no idea of how to change a bicycle tire.
To me if this child wants to be a Dike, then open the boys room when she has learned to Pee standing up.
