Republican's Sociopath Profile


We live in a country that is constantly at war with itself. No, not the kind of war as in Civil War, although it sometime seems that the Republicans would be OK with that; right now it is only in the bullying stage. The Republican Party has bullied its way to power on numerous occasions. Richard Nixon believed “the end justifies the means” that whatever measures you have to take to achieve something it’s worth it, for the Republicans this means achieving dominance. This is happening because the GOP has been taken over by Sociopaths; the adults of the party have given up and allowed the juveniles to rule. Anyone who has had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Sociopaths eventually comes to learn some basic facts.

1. YOU CANNOT REASON WITH THEM - The debt crisis nonsense highlighted this first point.  There was nothing which President Obama or Dems could possibly have offered Tea Party Republicans that would have satisfied them.  Sociopaths adopt a righteous stance and no degree of fact or logic could dislodge them from their beliefs.

2. THEY PLAY THE VICTIM CARD - Stand up to a sociopath and call them out on their actions and they instantly cry foul.  When Vice President Biden accurately compared Tea Party negotiator’s tactics to those of a terrorist, the right-wing freaked out.  Case in point was Sarah Palin who called Biden’s remark “vile” and “quite appalling”.  Yes, that’s the same Sarah Palin who is fond of making the claim that the President of the U. S. “pals around with terrorists”.

That 'sociopath' stuff is pretty rich, coming from the party that still trumpets what a hero Clinton was, perhaps the most clear-cut high-functioning sociopath in public life for the past 30 years.

2.) Manipulates people by "pulling strings" or "pushing the right buttons" .

5.) Is a "serial bully". Has one main bully target at a time. Once he loses control of that bully target, he feels compelled to find another bully target very quickly to sink his claws into.
 
6.) Has an exagerated sense of self-importance, thinking that the world revolves around him. This is known as "egocentricity".
 
7.) Is a "fantasist".

8.) Glares at people with piercing eyes. Women have been known to mistake this for sexual magnetism.
 
9.) Would unexpectedly say very hurtful things.

10.) Consistently apportions blame to others when things go wrong, regardless of how logically an explanation was given - "whipping boy" - "fall guy".
 
11.)Twists and distorts facts to his advantage.
12.) Jekyll and Hyde personality. (Incidentally, Robert Louis Stevenson's fictional character was inspired by a real life psychopath that he had met but obviously the fictional character was an exaggerated version)
 
13.) Applies his distorted sense of reality (psychosis) to others, accusing them of faults and weaknesses that are actually his own. This is known as "projection".
 
14.) Inability to accept responsibility or blame for his actions. He is always "in denial".
 15.) Can get vicious if cornered.

16.) Spin a "web of deceit".

17.) Has a "hidden agenda".

18.) Has a "selective memory" - remembers your mistakes but forgets his own.

19.) Seldom plans for the long and medium terms, believing himself to be immune to the consequences of his own actions.
 20.) Takes the credit for other people's work. This is known as "plagiarism"...
