Apologies for blast from the past re: Righthaven. I wasn't around and it is too funny.
I posted on DU from early 2003 to end of 2009. I didn't get back on until December 2012 so there are a lot of ups and downs I missed including this complete and total take down of an old media front group trying to make money unethically off of DU and other online blogs, aggregators, and discussion boards.

Below are some pretty funny links to the story.

First.....Freeper GLEE that a lawsuite may end up taking DU down!!

Then a great article and audio from On The Media discussing the district court throwing out Righthaven's case saying they had no legal standing and smacking them down for some pretty horrendous behavior.

Here’s the final ruling on Righthaven v DU. It’s a beauty showing a complete ass kicking by the court.

They then had their intellectual property sold at auction to satisfy legal debts including sale of their Domain righthaven.com which was purchased by this company

Q. Who? What? Where? Why?
We are a Switzerland based internet service provider focused on shared and dedicated server hosting for clients who demand that their provider actually be possessed of a spine (or at least be a member of the Vertebrata subphylum).
Starting before the passage of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") in the United States it has been a trend in intellectual property jurisprudence to support broken business models. Current law leverages the expensive proposition of defending against civil litigation to browbeat small content creators into submission whenever confronted by prolific litigants. We are pretty sure some examples will spring readily to your mind.

The point of which is to convince others that his visit to CC isn't a harbinger of things to come. Or maybe he's trying to convince himself?

And the true sign of DU lack of interest, the self-kick, follows:

Being the brain dead idiot he is I guess he thinks the DUmp was the only target and that the name Righthaven has a political meaning.

A little bit of research (why is doing that so foreign a concept to libs?) and reading would show otherwise.

For a "management consultant"  :rotf: he sure is ignorant.

Curtis will try anything to deflect his fellow from DUmpmonkeys from seeing his shaming on CC.

Next up: Anthony Weiner memorial selfies in the Feminazi Forum.
