(note: this observation does NOT apply to anyone who takes the Seamless Garment philosophy, a position that is at least consistent and relatively compassionate and recognizes the humanity of the women in the equation as well)

Most of these folks aren't really "pro-life"...in general, they seem to hate the notion of life, as least as most of us live it and recognize it. Certainly they reject the notion that "life" includes the right to be treated with respect or to have one's dignity respected and maintained. Many are also militarists, which means they are fine with the notion of extinguishing life if a temporary holder of power says it should be extinguished on a battlefield(or even in the home of a non-combatant that is destroyed by troops or drones).

Liberalism: the condition that arises when a person cannot mentally distinguish between a bomb-packing terrorist and an unborn child.

Conversely, it is the condition wherein bomb-packing terrorists are afforded more legal rights than an unborn child.

And they are perfectly ok with life being ended early through untreated illness or unfed hunger as a result of the poverty caused by "the invisible hand of the free market".

What I think these people really object to is the idea of "the unborn" not having a long spell of misery and pain on the Earth. In short, they not only think that women who are able to choose abortion are avoiding the suffering that these people believe to be their natural station in life, they also think that "the unborn" may be getting off too easily.

It's not about "life". It's about somebody not feeling enough agony to suit these types, because they believe that life(other than life for the privileged few)should be nothing but obligation and suffering, free of spontaneity, free of joy, free of anything other than soul-crushing torment.

According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Wow what a moron. I do realize that DUmmies consider earning a living as the worst kind of torture so naturally they think we want people to suffer, the reality is the 0bamaphone people suffer much more under "compassionate" leftism than they ever would by working for a living. It is not compassion to put people under the table and have them fight over scraps rather than allowing them to till the fields and earn their own bread. When a man earns his own keep he is in control of his life and can improve his own life much easier than he could by being subject to the whim of whoever is in power at the moment.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

That wasn't a thought. That was a brain fart.  :mental:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”
