Any group of people who sequester themselves against opposing points of view, engage in emotional pleading at the expense of objectivity, handwave away valid arguments based solely on sources, and pretty much indulge in every logical fallacy under the Sun on the way to reaching their conclusions have no room to accuse anyone of being "anti-reason".

I'm not anti-science. I love science and the benefits it brings. My entire career has been built on it. I'm just not foolish enough to believe that a system devised by imperfect beings is capable of perfectly explaining everything in the universe. I also realize that science can be taken in directions that are unethical and immoral. Neither of those viewpoints make me "anti-science".
Have any of you DUmbasses ever stopped to wonder why it is that the majority of you seem to be either mentally ill, incapable of independently living your lives, lacking in social connections including your own families, constantly burning in hatred for others, profoundly dissatisfied with your existence, or any combination of the above? Here's a hint: None of those things are an indication of your superiority to others. The fact that you apparently do believe that, as evidenced by your constant streams of self-congratulatory posts, is stunning.
Nowhere else in the known universe do people consider themselves so superior while concomitantly leading the ****ed up, miserable lives you chronicle on a daily basis at DU. Not outside of an asylum, anyway. That is why you are such a source of wonder and amusement to others.
