Getting her tribal eligibility from the "One drop of... well, you know" Rule.

The Prairie Band Pottawatomie Nation has Tribal Court. The sentence for Homicide in the First Degree on the Res is "a fine of $5,000, or by a term of imprisonment in the tribal jail not to exceed one year; or by banishment for a period not more than life; or any combination of the above." Section 15-2-11. Beats the shit out of a Hard 50 in the Kansas State Pen.
