(CNSNews.com) - Eighteen Democrats in the House of Representatives have joined with 98 Republicans in signing a letter to President Barack Obama telling him he cannot constitutionally take military action in Syria without prior congressional authorization. The signatories of this letter include not only some of the most outspoken liberals in the House—such as Rep. Jim McDermott (D.-Wash.), Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D.-Ore.) and Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D.-Calif.)--but also some of the most outspoken conservatives. “We strongly urge you to consult and receive authorization from Congress before ordering the use of military force in Syria,” said the letter signed by the 18 Democrats and 98 Republicans. “Your responsibility to do so is prescribed in the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution of 1973.

So, princess: When did you serve (as you claim to have done)? What was your MOS while you were in the service (as you claim to have been)? What duty stations were you assigned to while you were in the service (as you claim to have been)?

Obama does not care what Congress says or what other nations say or what Americans say. He will do as he pleases. Impeachment is out of the question. He could kill his wife and many of the lame brains in the House and Senate would vote no to impeachment. God help us if we ever get another liberal President.

Right you are.  It's pretty scary.  We're living in America's twilight, Second-Amendment era, if ya get my drift.  However, I think America will get a right of center president in 2016; that is to say, American will get a Republican, though not necessarily a true conservative which this country so desperately needs.  In my lifetime, the only president I was able to vote for without holding my nose was Reagan.

Who knows what he's going to do.  He's so damned arrogant and a hypocrite unto himself.  He ignores the laws and makes up the rules as he goes along.

He might go to congress if he's looking for an excuse to get out of the box he (Samantha Powers) put himself into. 

Wasn't she also pushing him to get involved with Libya?  I believe she authored the UN's policy of "Responsibility to Protect" as his justification for attacking.  That policy was born out of one of George Soros' think tanks.
