Need Help Aspie Daughter TOTALLY screwed over working for Dollar General

Hi All,
My daughter got her first job ! YAY! EXCEPT it was with Dollar General in Jaffrey NH.
 
Long story short, payday is Friday but she hasn't been paid on Friday. Up until the last two weeks (she has worked for them about 5 weeks) SHE gets her direct deposit on Tuesday. BUT the last two weeks she hasn't been paid at all. She is the only person with this problem. She is the only person with Aspergers working for Dollar General in Jaffrey NH.
 
What I need help with is this.

I know we need to file a wage complaint with the New Hampshire Labor Board

But who else can we file complaints with, I think there is discrimination here, she has definitely been treated differently.
 
I want a microscope put on this company and I want them to squirm under it.

My daughter worked very hard for them. She has given her notice, I made her quit. Next week is her last week but under the circumstances, I don't feel she should work a day until she is paid for the last two weeks.
 
I am furious and want to make them pay! Should I get a labor lawyer? Dollar General is notorious for being a terrible employer but someone needs to hold them accountable and if we can do our part to force them to stop playing around with their employees the so be it.
 
I hope to get a lot of help from you folks. I really think they felt they could do what they wanted to the kid with Aspergers. Well, not my kid!

Somebody that will work on contingency. Could be wrongful termination, discrimination. Sounds like they forced her to quit.

There is so much unsaid in that post you have to assume mom is lying and exaggerating.  She is looking for a lawyer to help her shake down Dollar General.  I don't think John (the zygote whisperer) Edwards would take this case.

The kid probably gave the company some wrong information, simple solution talk to the manager let them check the info and straighten it out.

I see no reason a Lawyer is needed, a simple complaint to the Labor Board should clear this up.

I do not think this is a mental disease, or the daughter is retarded.   I have seen some management take advantage of young workers all through the years.  I myself had a difficult time working in a paint store as I am color blind in the green range. There were some strange painted houses in the neighborhood for a week or so.

 Not sure how this works but lately I have read of complaints of pay checks placed in ATM accounts and every time the worker makes a withdrawal the bank charges them for it.

Reminds me of a big fight somewhere in the South when a young man with Turret's was hired as a cashier.    He was fired for yelling at the customers with vile names.    A solution was found, the Lad was moved to 3 rd. shift stocking shelves and clean up. --a up in pay for him----.

One does not apply for a job as a ditch digger with just one arm.  One that is deaf or blind need not apply for a position in child care centers.

We all have our limitations that are physical or mental, I cannot spell for the life of me, I would make a lousy text book writer.  

Some of us get burned out on our jobs, mine in Nursing lasted not that many years and I found I could not work with children that were dieing, in the burn wards, could not work with those in mental facilities.  After 6 months the staff become as disturbed as the patients.  When the crazy's began to make sense to you it is time to find another job.

So off I went into the world of manual labor, suited me fine.

And just how does the junkie ex-nurse propose for DUmbette to gain access to prior week time cards? Once they are submitted to payroll for processing, they're not available to employees. Only the current time cards are available.

Well number 1. Aspergers/autism is NOT a mental illness.

Secondly, I assume she has some deficits in communication and likely has not told her manager of the pay issue. Manager does not know and can't fix without knowledge. What mother should do is go to the manager herself knowing the daughters deficits and discuss the issue with them. I'm sure that individual knows this is a person with asbergers so will understand the need for another adult to assist in such issues at times. How she jumps to discrimination when she has an adult child who by definition of her syndrome likely has not communicated effectively there is a problem to the manager is beyond understanding.

Talk about hair trigger looking for issues. She robbed her own daughter of the pride of independence. Something important to all but particularly to someone with this kind of disability because her mom is a hair trigger dumbass.

I've never been in a Dollar General store, but wouldn't be surprised if they're like Publix here in red state hell.

Nearly all the baggers are either elderly or mentally handicapped.
