When it reaches that point I usually just give up and get up to do some crap. It's too frustrating at that point and I know I'll just get no sleep, or worse 1/2 an hour and wake up even more tired.

I couldn't sleep and was deeply depressed right after me and the "X" split.....long, hard hours at work worked wonders for both.
