5. I'd favor professional jurors

A pool of individuals who've at least received the equivalent of Para-Legal training, and who will make some effort to follow the law.

How does that constitute 'a jury of one's peers'?

Until you are the defendant dummie. Then what?

What is it with you dummie? You want to have 3 judges, paid by the government, determine your fate? Are you really that stupid? What if they were republicans and it was you in the defendants chair? Then you would be screaming to high heaven.

You are a real stupid dummie. All dummies are stupid, but you take it to the next level.

There was a reason the founding fathers put that in the constitution. They had experienced the european justice system and found it horrible. You don't like it here? Then move to Europe.   :bird: :bird:

Typical dummies Chris. They didn't get their way, they are throwing a temper tantrum like the children they are, and like the children they are want to overturn the constitution because they are too stupid to understand it protects them too.

My feelings exactly.

If it were necessary for someone else to determine my fate, I'd just as soon it be by others just like me, and not some small clique of elitists who have no idea what the real world is like.

Just curious about something.
Sixth Amendment
"In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense."
Peers??
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

What a tosser.

We've been using juries since the 12th century - when the Founders were looking to create the U.S. legal system they knew this well-established system was the best means around. I'll take their opinion, plus 800+ years of practice over the loony rantings of DUmmy.

Free Mumia !

...and the DUmmies all shout, "We'll take all you got.....don't know what they are but hey, they're free, right?"

I know what that is and I'll still take one......just don't ask me what I did with it.

Today is better than last night for sheer lunacy from the primitives. I expect things to get incrementally more crazy on the island as their super genius has time to come up with more and more crazy theories and logic fallacies over Saint Skittles. Should be a lot of fun for the next few days as the really stupid ones try to out gun the stupid ones for recs and kicks.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
