Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced Monday that he will not seek re-election, but is there another presidential bid in his future? He told Fox News Sunday another run at the White House was "an option. Perry was elected lieutenant governor in 1998 and became governor after George W. Bush vacated the seat upon his ascension as president of the United States. Perry handily won re-election bids in 2002, 2006 and 2010, and made a splash in last year’s Republican presidential primary before bowing out before the South Carolina primary.
Twitter reacts? Wrong! People who POST things on Twitter are reacting.Geezzzz.....
My wife was stationed at the Pentagon from 1994 to 1998 - she chuckles every time she hears them on the news say "The Pentagon said today ..."
If only the White House could talk.
The DUmmies all think that miserable bitch, Wendy Davis, will be the next governor.
Nope. I'd put money on David Dewhurst. It's a nice runner up prize to the Senate seat he lost to Cruz.
My money is on Greg Abbott. Davis didn't have a chance, the Castro's have been eyeing this prize, but with Perry out it hoses up any Dem frontrunner, IMHO.
Abbot is a possibility, and for me a more palatable one than Dewhurst after the crap he pulled in the Senate primary.
I agree.Though I think it would be fun for this guy to run just to see the DUmmies meltdown:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_L._Williams
That would be epic. The mental gymnastics they'd have to go through to bash him would be worthy of a gold medal.
a Christie run
I wonder if he has his eye on 2016. Even if he fails to secure the nomination, he could balance the ballot for a Christie run or fill a cabinet slot in the next administration.
