Now, as Zimmerman prepares to go on trial on a charge of second-degree murder, a video has been released that the defense says could help authenticate the 911 call. But lawyers for Martin’s family say it doesn’t belong in court.The video, which the defense says was extracted from Martin’s phone, shows two men fighting, apparently over a bicycle or an incident involving a bicycle. Zimmerman’s lawyers say Martin took the video, and that a voice on the recording is his. The person recording is not seen.Under Florida evidence-sharing rules, prosecutors and the defense have had the clip for some time. The video was released by Zimmerman’s defense through a website where his lawyers have been posting press releases and possible evidence.
I can only hope that my instincts prove correct, Zimmerman is exonerated and the prosecutor who grandstanded after being politically assigned to the case is disgraced. Then she could be promoted by owebuma.
I hate to say this, but if there are any African Americans on the jury Zimmerman is tucked.
I might be able to agree with you if you said all the jurors were black. If only some are I think the worst case would be hung jury.
My bet on the jury make up-3 to 5 African Americans3 to 4 Hispanics1 to 3 Whites.6 jury members 4 alternates.
Maybe the jury should be all Japanese.Your right, but it's sad that everything has to come down to race. I hate these public trials.

Juror B-51, a white female retiree, was quizzed on the second day of jury selection. She said her first impression of the case was "sad" for both sides. When asked if she though Zimmerman had done anything wrong by getting out of his truck, she said, "Certainly, he didn't wait. Maybe the police didn't come quick enough. I don't know."
Juror E-81, a middle-aged white female, appeared to have already made up her mind. Her impression was that Martin's prior use of marijuana and an image of a gun found on his cell phone were indications that "he was going down the wrong path." She also said she believed Zimmerman was just "looking after his neighborhood.""I believe every American has a right to defend himself," said the woman, known as Juror E-81. "I think the more people armed, the better."
The juror, known as R-39 because potential panelists can be identified only by their numbers, said that "murder is murder," even if it's self-defense.
Four other potential jurors questioned Wednesday included a white woman in her mid-20s who expressed concerns about her safety if picked; a black woman in her 20s who lived nearby the shooting but said she hadn't formed an opinion about it; and a white woman in her 50s who didn't like the negative image of Sanford that was portrayed in the media after the shooting happened there.
Attorneys questioned Juror B-35, a middle-aged black man who owns vending machines, on Tuesday. He described protests last year over Martin's shooting as "saber-rattling." He wondered why there weren't protests over the fatal shootings of other African-American men in Sanford, the Orlando suburb where Martin was killed in February 2012. He also said he believed Zimmerman deserved his day in court.

Zimmerman is the man who shot and killed black Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin under disputed circumstances last year, polarizing most of the country along racial and political lines. The CRB worries that the outcome of Zimmerman's second-degree murder trial, particularly if it's an acquittal, could set off a violent response if it doesn’t find a way to lower the temperature in the meantime.And the fact is, says Ed Shohat, the noted defense attorney and CRB member in charge of developing the action plan, it's "highly likely" Zimmerman will be found not guilty."There is physical evidence to support (Zimmerman's self-defense) story," Shohat told members of the board's criminal justice and law enforcement committee.
