Wow! Look at how "hysterical" and "poutraged" all of DU USED to be...

Back then I guess we cheered for the EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) for their FOIA request and whistleblowers telling the dirty secrets of the govt.

Did the election of "our guy" suddenly transform all the concerns about privacy and corruption into "Poutrage" and "Hysteria"?

SOME CHOICE QUOTES FROM 2007

"Total Information Awareness" never went away.
Domestic surveillance networks in the USA dwarf all others in the history of the world.
Our only defense against tyranny is to be outspoken as we actively resist the tyrants.
We cannot win our battles for human rights on fields of privacy and secrecy."

Any time WH Press Sec. said "Outrageous Claim" and "That's Ludicrous"
apparently what he or she really meant is "Oops, you caught us"

When do we find out what the NSA was after.....
? It's doubtful they're after terror plots. More likely AT&T (my Internet provider after the SBC/AT&T merger)is doing political duty for the GOP.
And I suppose some person in a room right now is reading this post....?

This administration is Big Brother and Hitler
wrapped into one
who could workl for these SOB'S

And You Wonder Why Nobody Stands Up to Dear Leader?

Most of the replies are along the lines of "it's not the same as Bush" and "it's not warrantless". Then there's this laughingly pathetic response:

10. I'm not going to go anti-Obama in regard to this; it would have continued regardless

of who is president. We are perhaps being naïve in regard to the limitations Obama has because I do believe he is a good man. I'm thinking that there are higher powers that don't afford Obama a choice in the matter.

But, I'm totally against putting American citizens under surveillance. I want our leaders to honor the Constitution. The Patriot Act needs to be abolished as well because, obviously, it can be used arbitrarily for political purposes (Bush/Cheney).

This becoming a "scandal" due to the fact that a Democratic president is in office might be a blessing in disguise. If the label "Democratic" gets the attention of those who have slept through the Bush/Cheney regime's anti-freedom program, perhaps the greater number of protests will cause positive changes.

  • Make America Great Again. Deport some DUmmies.
You guys need to keep that up. I want as many disillusioned liberal college age as well as many outraged conservative college age voters as possible for the next election.

And the delicious part is even if you read this post and suddenly stop all posts about your unhappiness, we still win.

The DUmpmonkeys putting the idiot in useful idiot since 2001.

I see their point spying on everything that innocent American citizens are doing is soooooooo much better than knowing what library book one has checked out.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I've seen so many of them willing to give BroncoBama a pass because 'he is a good man'. I'd like any lurking DUmmies that make this claim to reveal to us, any time the claim is made, just what he has done or is doing that makes him a good man.

Is it all the lavish vacations that he takes while so many Americans are out of work and suffering hard times?
Is it his support of the murder of unborn babies?
Is it how he's thrown so many of his former supporters under the bus?
Is it how he's refused to take any apparent action against the murder of his own ambassador?
Is it how he's sat quietly by while his supporters falsely accuse anyone who disagrees with him of racism?
Is it how he constantly blames everything on the guy who has been out of office for almost 6 years?

The Limbaugh Theorem in action ladies and gentlemen.

Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about, in a nutshell it is that 0bama is not responsible for anything, when these scandals break that he's just as mad as they are and he's doing his best to fight the evil powers of the GOP. Same on jobs 0bama is fighting the GOP trying to get everyone a job.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I was actually discussing this with a friend who had dropped by for a visit the other day. We've both come to the conclusion that either BroncoBama does indeed know all about these scandals and is the dirtiest president in US history OR he really doesn't know anything about them and is the most incompetent president in US history.

I believe him to be both the dirtiest and the most incompetent.

The sad thing is that I really don't think he's incompetent. I think he's doing exactly what he intended to do.

I agree. I also think that he really may not have any knowledge of the scandals. I picture him in the Oval Office, telling his people what he wants done, but not to inform him of any of the details so he can have plausible deniability. Something like this, "Get the tea party somehow. I don't care how, just do it and don't tell me what you did".

I agree, also.  Reckon he figured on complete Media compliance and acquiescence to keep it all going.  Almost, Barqui......

Almost.

Had he not pissed on the press, he might have had cover. He thought he could get away with anything and they'd still bend over any time he told them to grab their ankles. Now there's way too much to cover up, way too much drip, drip, drip. We're not just talking about a "little blue dress" anymore, this is a ****ing Mu Mu.

Has anyone ever heard owebuma speak extemporaneously without the assistance of a teleprompter ?

Indeed - there is no upside for The One

Malignant, idiot, or malignant idiot. There is no angle where Obama comes out looking good.

-Which is why I soon expect 'Victim' will be the new way to defend Obama;

"Obama tried soooooo hard to do the right thing, but The Builderberg's, The Illuminati, and The Shadow Government threatened to 'Wellstone' his kids if he didn't comply with their evil rethug plans. Poor Obama, take pity on him ! Alas! "
