Practice lowering your expectations every chance you get.

Try to get along with your parents because you either have to stay there or will be moving back in at some point. Read books on family relations and how to facilitate them.

Start doing a little research on anti-depressants and their alternatives so that you are ready when it is your turn to take the plunge in this decaying culture. There really won't be much "therapy" for you if you don't have the kind of money it takes to get some professional to sit and listen to your problems for a "client" hour.

Don't give up on playing video games because they may be a primary form of entertainment and even have to double for vacations you won't have.

It is okay to follow your dreams if you are actually sleeping and you may find yourself sleeping more and have the time to follow your real dreams into places you will never go while awake.

Big Dog, that is why they call it faith.  It can't be "proven."  That would be science.

I guess I followed my dream OK.  I wanted to stand on my own two feet, make my own money, my own decisions, and my own domicile.  I didn't want to be so beholden to someone else that they could tell me what to do.  And so, one needs to build a structure for that sort of thing.  A good career.

I understand about faith.

The question I am asking ColCarrots is, "how do you tell the difference between God's finger pointing to your life's goals, and your own?"

is this the net result of the "hope and change" all you DUmbasses voted for in 2008?

A DUmbasses dream is a lavish life provided for them free of charge or at the minimum them sitting in a circle jerk smoking dope and considering their vomit to be profound.
It is not a career but a state of existence they dream of.
Nothing based on effort or achievement, simply on wishes and expectations that for the most part fall through.
The inevitable result is a useless and hopeless life of destitution and/or misery.

Their "dream" is nothing but an almost impossible to attain conclusion with no path to get there or desire to find one.

DUmmy Bennyboy is following his dream, but all it's got him so far is a room in his mother's basement and squeamish carcinoma.

He just pulled the plug on the old lady, though, so maybe things are looking up.

How is it possible I am the first to think of posting this?

Quote
Go placidly amid the noise and waste,
And remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
Avoid quiet and passive persons unless you are in need of sleep.
Rotate your tires.
Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself,
And heed well their advice, even though they be turkeys.
Know what to kiss and when.
Consider that two wrongs never make a right,
But that three lefts do.
Wherever possible put people on "HOLD".
Be comforted that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment,
And despite the changing fortunes of time,
There is always a big future in computer maintenance.
Remember the Pueblo.
Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
Know yourself.  If you need help, call the FBI.
Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
Especially with those persons closest to you;
That lemon on your left for instance.
Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls,
Would scarcely get your feet wet.
Fall not in love therefore; it will stick to your face.
Carefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan,
And let not the sands of time get in your lunch.
For a good time, call 606-4311.
Take heart amid the deepening gloom that your dog
Is finally getting enough cheese;
And reflect that whatever fortunes may be your lot,
It could only be worse in Sioux City.
You are a fluke of the Universe.
You have no right to be here, and whether you can hear it or not,
The Universe is laughing behind your back.
Therefore make peace with your God whatever you conceive him to be,
Hairy Thunderer or Cosmic Muffin.
With all its hopes, dreams, promises, and urban renewal,
The world continues to deteriorate.
Give up.

Don't worry DUmmies, Nancy Pelosi says that you can follow your dreams now that there is affordable health care for everyone.

“We see it as an entrepreneurial bill,” Pelosi said then -- “a bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care. You won’t have to be job locked.”

My karate teacher celebrated 25 years as a Black Belt Saturday. 14 years ago, he quit his day job. His only income is teaching karate now. I don't think he's worked in 14 years, he enjoys what he does so much. The phrase: Make your vocation your vacation is HIM. He does gardening for a few older ladies in town, that is his hobby.

He paved the way for me to accomplish it. A good school with good doctrine, affordable, convenient, all those things one might consider when going to school. That is how I believe it was his will.

What good advice! At the end of your life all you have are regrets! Excellent!
"Liberalism is an essentially feminine, submissive world view. Perhaps a better adjective than feminine is infantile. It is the world view of men who do not have the moral toughness, the spiritual strength to stand up and do single combat with life, who cannot adjust to the reality that the world is not a huge, pink-and-blue, padded nursery in which the lions lie down with the lambs and everyone lives happily ever after."

~ Dr. William Pierce

"How many more times are we going to cower under tables and chairs, whimpering like mindless dogs, thinking that someone else has the responsibility to save and protect us?"
