(KCEN) -- We have reports of an active shooter on Fort Hood.

We have reports that there are several injuries from this shooting. There is at least one patient being transported to the hospital.

We are also getting reports of victims in the Battle Simulation Center on 65th and Warehouse.

The suspect is still at large. The shooter was said to be in building 33026 which is the Medical Brigade Building.

 

These are all preliminary reports.

 

We have a crew on scene and will bring you more information when it becomes available.

A shooting at Ft. Hood that reportedly left three injured Wednesday was a "soldier on soldier" incident without any terrorism link, a senior Department of Homeland Security source told FoxNews.com.

The source, who stressed the information was preliminary, added that there was "currently no [counter terrorism] nexus" and said it appears the shooter "killed himself and three soldiers were wounded."

But there were conflicting reports on how many shooters may have been involved, and what happened in the incident.

The administration also claimed that the previous Fort Hood shooting was workplace violence. They also claimed that Benghazi was a protest that got out of hand. Effin bunch of liars.

FORT HOOD (CBSDFW.COM) - Four people are confirmed dead and at least 14 people are injured following a shooting at the Fort Hood army post Wednesday evening, according to the House Homeland Security Chair and U.S. Representative from Texas Michael McCaul.  CBS News confirms the shooter is among the dead and was killed by a self-inflicted wound.  The shooter has been identified as a soldier CBS’s David Martin reports the shooter was a soldier.  He has been identified at 34-year-old Ivan Lopez.  The shooting reportedly started as the result of a dispute between soldiers.

KWTX also reports approximately 20 rounds were fired. The FBI, Bell County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety all responded to the shooting.

Any shooting is troubling. Obviously, this reopens the pain of what happened at Fort Hood five years ago. We know these families. We know the service to their country and the sacrifices that they make. Obviously, our thoughts and prayers are with the entire community, and we are going to do everything we can to make sure the community of Fort Hood has what it needs to deal with a tough situation but also any potential aftermath.

The trial of Nidal Hasan is done. There is no reason to keep the workplace violence name for the terrorist act he committed. Let the people have what is rightfully theirs, including the Purple Hearts and the pay they deserve.
