I watched quite a bit of the primary coverage, and saw how they broke down the percentages of who voted for Hillary and Obama: Education, income, age/ gender and what not. One thing I never saw was a breakdown of union/non-union.
I do belong to a union, and for the first time in almost 20 years, my local did not back either candidate during the primaries. They still have not come out and officially backed Obama. Is it possible, that this year, union members may defect from the Dem party? Most of the guys I know were for Hillary and have said they'll now vote for McCain.
