Because it's the evil 1% that uses small rural airports, just like it's the evil 1% who go on the public tours of the White House.  I am so sick and tired of the administartion that regularly hobnobs with the most useless of the 1% (the Hollywood celebrity) being lauded for going after the people that make this country work.:banghead: :argh:

So the border patrol (who cannot arrest illegal aliens under Obama rules) are cut back.

Gee, this means Arizona can patrol its own borders and arrest at will.
Further militias can volunteer to help. ...all without govt interference. We win!

I read online some where that the Rock County Airport (in Janesville, WI...) is being shut down because of the sequester.  I think it's being shut down only because it's Paul Ryan's hometown.

Lots of airports don't have towers manned by the FAA.  Landing and take off still occurs.   Many places may find the don't need the FAA running a tower.

I haven't nadined the stats, but my guess is that MOST airports don't have towers manned by FAA and never have.

Most airports don't have commercial flights.

Regarding the Rock Co. airport, I'm not 100% sure who mans the tower there.  I just think it was in the news to make Paul Ryan look bad or something like that.  I believe GM (when the plant was still opened) would have parts flown in and they would come through that airport, but I was always aware of the parts/cars that came in by trains.  It's not a busy airport at all.  The biggest plane that ever landed there (when I was growing up...) was Air Force One or that smaller version of it.  Hillary Clinton flew into Janesville during Bill's last year or two in office.  Otherwise, military planes would come in occasionally to fuel up.  All other planes were privately owned ones.

The Rock Co airport also has an annual airshow in the summer, which is always a blast to watch.
