I'm 52 and another peer of mine died a few days ago, a friend a year

younger than me. This makes about the fourth in two years that I know of; middle-aged people, life let them down in many ways, but this girl was beautiful. Prior to this, it's been guys. Drugs, booze, this one is still a mystery. It's been asked, can someone really die from a broken heart?

Wait a second.....Guys, drugs, and booze?  Beautiful?  Does not compute. 

We've all seen the effects of a life spent doing drugs, boozing, and random encounters with members of the opposite sex.  I've known a few women that lived this way, since I am yet young their lifestyle was pointed out to me later, more than once at their funeral.  Anyone living to the age of 51 having lived that way has lived to a ripe old age.  People aren't meant to spend their entire life like they are between the ages of 18 and 25, the body simply won't tolerate it.

Bush has nothing to do with Babblingsisters friend.

It is never the result of lifestyle choices to the children of the DUmp it is always someone elses fault.

Too bad there wasn`t a mental age someone had to achieve before they could vote too.

I read it to mean that the other folks she knew that died, were guys and their deaths were related to drugs and booze.    She thought that the most recent death was a mystery.

Either way though, I still don't see Bush's fingerprints on it..

You may be correct on that but the knee jerk blame President Bush or Conservatives in general post was no surprise and still speaks volumes for the mindset of the island.

You may be right, upon my rereading it.  So she was beautiful, it is possible to "be beautiful" and still have heart disease.
