The Sequester Is the Republicans’ Fault
The Sequester Is the Republicans’ Fault
Posted on February 20, 2013 by Jon
Everybody’s going to hate it when the sequester cuts 700,000 jobs next week, so Republicans are, understandably, trying to win the blame game.
The problem for them is that it’s completely their fault.
Think back to why we have the sequester. The sequester cuts were supposed to kick in only if the Supercommittee negotiations failed.
Think back to why the Supercommittee negotiations failed. It failed because Republicans were negotiating in bad faith, with Pat Toomey trying to pretend a huge regressive tax cut was a deficit reduction plan.
Think back to why we did the Supercommittee. The Supercommittee was the price Republicans demanded in exchange for raising the statutory debt ceiling.
The fake debt ceiling crisis of 2011 was the origin of this whole thing. If Republicans hadn’t held the debt ceiling hostage for policy concessions for the first time ever (“Boehner Ruleâ€) then there would be no sequester cuts coming next week.
It’s the Republicans’ fault.

Short, to the point and absolutely correct
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251290997The low information voter will believe this.
What the low information voter does not know is the House passed 2 bills last year that would have stopped this. When they were sent to Harry Reid he put them right in the trash. If anyone is to blame it is Harry Reid. Same goes for the budget too. Every budget submitted by the House went straight into the trash can.
Then you have to factor in that even if the Senate by some miracle had passed the bills, 0bama would have vetoed them
So the fault lays squarely on the shoulders of the Democrat party.

1. Both sides own the sequester.
Both sides voted for it and Obama signed it into law. If it was good then it is good now. If it was bad then it should not have been voted into law and Obama should not have signed it. 700,000 jobs are not being lost. Utter nonsense. The defense cuts are needed.
Some truth in that post which is amazing for a DUmmy. This DUmmy had the balls to not swallow the talking points from the left. He still is a moron for wanting defense cuts, but I give him partial credit.

6. It's entirely the GOP's fault. Obama had no say in it, despite what FOX says.
0bama had plenty of say, he could have stayed in DC and tried to figure out a way to make some cuts and try to at least negotiate with the repukes. Instead he hit the campaign trail, telling everyone the sky was falling. Then he had the nerve to say that this isn't as bad as some people were making it out to be. If you ever wondered how the world in 1984 could have ever been possible just look at the Orwellian shit that goes on today and the low information voters eat it up.
