15-20 dollars?  Do these people even believe in small business?  do they not know that that pay will be passed onto them? and then they won't buy because it's too expensive then some min wage worker gets laid off and the business goes out of business because of the min wage increase. DUMBASSES!

I say let them try to run a business...say, a pie and jam business.  No charging more than $10 for a pie, but you have to pay ALL your workers at least $15/hour and comply with all federal, state, and local government regulations.

I give them a week until they're tasting gun oil.

Every time some soul bravely points out that the goods and services sold would then increase in price, they either ignore it, change the subject, or say something like "well the business owner doesn't need those obsene profits."

They have no ****ing clue how anything works.

Why flipping burgers, of course. Only drops 3 per shift, but they are rinsed off pretty good.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

When I was at Boeing, airplanes rolled off the assembly line for an average of $45 to $60 million a pop. After payroll was made, the materials for the next plane purchased, and the power company given their pound of flesh, each of those planes yielded about 1.5% profit, to be split amongst God knows how many share holders.  Those "eee-vil" oil companies are pretty similar: after the government extortion racket is paid off, the payroll made, and the muzzies paid for the next ship full of crude, the best I've heard of is about 8% profit.

"Obscene profits" is simply more leftist bullshit, in my experience.

Raising the minimum wage fits perfectly with the DUmmies racism.  Time and again it has been shown that raising the minimum wage hurts minorities, teens and poor people the most.

Quote
In his State of the Union address, President Barack Obama proposed raising the minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $9 an hour. That would be almost a 25 percent increase. Let's look at the president's proposal, but before doing so, let's ask some other economic questions.

Are people responsive to changes in price? For example, if the price of cars rose by 25 percent, would people purchase as many cars? Supposing housing prices rose by 25 percent, what would happen to sales? Those are big-ticket items, but what about smaller-priced items? If a supermarket raised its prices by 25 percent, would people purchase as much? It's not rocket science to conclude that when prices rise, people adjust their behavior by purchasing less.

It's almost childish to do so, but I'm going to ask questions about 25 percent price changes in the other way. What responses would people have if the price of cars or housing fell by 25 percent? What would happen to supermarket sales if prices fell by 25 percent? Again, it doesn't require deep thinking to guess that people would purchase more.

This behavior in economics is known as the first fundamental law of demand. It holds that the higher the price of something the less people will take and that the lower the price the more people will take. There are no known exceptions to the law of demand. Any economist who could prove a real-world exception would probably be a candidate for the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and other honors.

They are brainless idiots about how businesses operate and fit into the scheme of a healthy economy.  They want higher minimum wages, then bitch when businesses move out of the country or raise their prices.  DUmmies have no concept of "cause and effect".

No, no, no,  that's not right at all, drops go in the chili and the acid from the tomatoes kills the bacteria.   :hammer:

I don't think "blackie" is the word a DUmmie would use.  There's another word that they're fond of using over there when they think they can get away with it.

Those prices would mean fast food joints would be outfitted with robots and one 'Assistant manager' on salary (And so exempt from FLSA) per shift to keep shit straight.  They wouldn't be able to afford any actual "Employees."

Every time the minimum wage is passed, it takes only a year or two for prices to adjust. after that, the new wage will only purchase what the old wage did.
