Had a vendor at work the other day working on a piece of equipment with another one of our engineers. He made an offhand remark about Sandy Hook and how we need to take away more guns if we did those kids wouldn't be dead who needs a machine gun anyways blah-de-freaking-dah. I sat and listened to him for a while. Now I'm not the kind of person to go off on anyone without announcing it first but this idiot who I've worked around before should have been smacked down a long time ago with his big mouth that never shuts up. Big dude who likes to throw his weight around. Can't stand him anyways. Then the other engineer who moved here from China when he was 11 to be with his mom and dad who I guess hitched a ride on a boat over here many years ago to work in aca-freaking-demia starts talking about how we have enough freedoms and it's ok to take away this bad "gun freedom". I like this guy but he has latent commie tendencies. Too many guns. Too many guns. Too many guns. I tell em without all these guns the gov't would run roughshod over us, tyranny and all. They look at me like I got a third eye in the middle of my forehead. They said you can't tell when someone is gonna go nuts so you have to do a background check upon purchase of a firearm and a mental evaluation every 5 years. I ask them what problem they are trying to solve they start getting all mealy-mouthed. I told them if they wanted to solve the problem then put a cop in the school to blow that asshole away before he could do any damage but they say hey what's to stop the cop from going nuts? Then bigmouth vendor again says if you can't pass the mental exam you can't have a gun. So I tell him he shouldn't even bother applying because I'd gladly vouch for him that he's not fit to own a gun. He shut right up. Another person listening in asked who the idiot was who started this conversation at work and I points to the guy and say there he is, he's the idiot. Funnier if you were there but what a dumbass. He'll think next time he opens his mouth at my office. Label me sick and tired of these lazy stupid self-righteous lard-ass blowhards. I pity the next fool who tries this at my workplace. I'll have him escorted out for stupidity.
