The DHS has ordered 7,000 AR-type assault rifles

and

750+ million rounds of ammunition

BTW, for any lurkers with even a hint of common sense that are on the fence, it would behoove you not to listen to the idiots like the Progs on TV. The useful idiots have always had a purpose in the past; it didn't help the people in the end.
